INTRO:
With the week of Thanksgiving beginning, I wanted to set the table for an awesome week with a quick and painful history lesson.
WARM-O-RAMA:
A quick run to the rock pile and pick a beautiful Plymouth Rock and head over to the newly built Veteran’s Memorial. Then circle up for some IC SSH, Weed Pickers, and Windmills then a quick lap to familiarize the group with the route for the workout. On to the fun.
THE THANG:
We partnered up and YHC explained the pain. We had 4 exercises, each for 405 reps (except for the last exercise we did 406). While one was doing the exercise, his partner was running a quick lap, which was run prior to the thang, but the first group seemed to get confused, but they eventually made it back. The 4 exercises performed were, in this order, Rock Press, Rock Curl, Rock Squats, and Rock sit-ups. As we moved through the exercises it became clear that we would not make it all the way through so an audible was called and the running was cut out and reps split between the partners about halfway through the squats. With the sit-ups, we split the reps between the group to 100 each with the Q taking the extra 6. Once we completed the reps we redeposited the rocks and headed back to the flag.
Once at the flag, I explained th reasoning for the terrible amount of reps. Matchstick was the first to pick it up, but 405 x 4 (+1) = 1621. The date of the first Thanksgiving.
