Intro:

Minimal Running, huh? Let’s see what we can do with little to no running at all. Lets just play at the Playground. Just make sure and listen to Sally and do as she says.

Warm-o-Rama:

Quick little Mosey around the light pole to our warm up location of choice.
Mountain Climbers
Michael Phelps
HillBillies
Weed Pickers

Mosey to what YHC would be a location of reduced wind. Not the case. I was informed prior that there was not really a spot with no wind. I tried anyway.

The Thang:

Many times we work through high reps at a fast pace. YHC likes to slow things down a bit and let those muscles ache deep in the tissue. The kind of pain that last all day. Okay, that was a little dark. But sometimes it's good to do a workout that you know will humble you. That brings me to today’s beatdown.

Using the song ‘Bring Sally Up’ by Moby, perform the following exercises going up and down as the song tells you too. Yes the song is 3 mins and 28 seconds long. Yes you will hear it 5 times. Yes you will sing it throughout the day. Yes it will haunt you in your sleep. Note to ones self, Alcoa really likes this song. He will sing it during and after. YHC also thinks Alcoa might just yell random things at random times….still tracking.

YHC still had some time on the clock and of course we do not end early around these parts. So, since we worked out every muscle in our body during the Sally Slap Down. Why not work it some more and bear crawl to the edge of the school.

Lastly the PAX partnered up some Partner Derkins.
Partner 1 holds the elbow plank position, while partner 2 puts feet on partner 1’s back and performs 20 derkins. Swap positions and time was called.

COT:

COT was heavy but also with some praise.

YHC shared with PAX about grandfather taking his life over this past weekend. Reminding many that silence is a key contributor to suicide. Please reach out to those that you have not spoken to in a while. Those who may feel lonely. Even to yes, those that seem happy all the time.

Prayers for Thrasher and his continued recovery from surgery. While getting better and stronger, there is still a little road ahead. Keep pushing Thrasher. We are here for you.

Discussed some of the events coming up.
Last Friday 3rd F @ Family Traditions at 6AM
Leadership Convergence @ Messiah Church on Feb 2nd
F3 Cherokee Man Fest @ Dory's land

Naked Man Moleskin:

I am part of a Christian leadership blog, Radical Mentoring. This past weeks blog was very timely and spoke deeply to me.
This weeks message was really on focusing on the things you can control and moving forward, not backwards.

Using the thought of the following:
"What’s done is done . . . you can’t put the toothpaste back in the tube . . . it’s no use crying over spilled milk."

But what stood out to me the most was the following:
"Remember the words of the Serenity Prayer, first coined by Reinhold Niebuhr then adopted by Alcoholics Anonymous. Pray it out loud. Pray it right now.

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, The courage to change the things I can, And the wisdom to know the difference.

Challenge: God loves you, even when you mess up. He already forgave you, so forgive yourself and move on with more wisdom and deeper faith for what’s next."
