Intro:

Balls, Bears and Cheetahs…oh my. Together, we can face anything.

Warm-o-Rama:

Mozy to the flag and did 20 SSHs. Then mozied to another area and did 20 mountain climbers. We then mozied to the back basketball court area near the bus lanes.

The Thang:

We did a Free Throw themed beatdown. There were 20 wood blocks faced down. Each HIM took their turn, picked up a block which had an exercise on it. The HIM then shot a free throw. If he missed, we did 5 to 10 4-count of the exercise written on the block. If they missed 5 times in a row, we did a bus lane suicide with merkins at the start of every turn. Here is how it shook out:

1) Papa John, picked monkey humpers. He missed 4 times but swished the 5th shot saving the pain.
2) Smurfette was next. He picked something I can't remember. It really doesn't matter though because he made his first shot.
3) Cuban was next…oh boy. He is not the basketball player :). He picked out LBCs. After 5 missed free throw attempts, we paid our first bus lane suicide penalty. We ran 8 lanes of suicide.
4) Spielberg was next…geez not another. He drew bear crawls. And yes, he MISSED ALL 5 shots. The bear crawl was about 40 yards and yes, we did 5 of them. No need for a penalty after doing 200 yards of bear crawling.
5) Jungle Love was next. He drew Monkey Crunches. Since AC couldn't remember what those were, we did frog crunches instead. Jungle Love made his 4th basket. No Penalty.
6) Next was Creamer. He had a heck of granny-style shooting technique but none would meet the net. He pulled lunges so we did 50 reps of lunges in total and paid 8 more bus lane suicides as a penalty.
7) Next up was the FNG, now known as Ruby. He pulled out Big Boy SitUps. He did a great job leading the group in those exercises…yes, he missed all 5 so in total we did 50 big boys and then ran another 8 lanes of suicides.
8) AC cleaned it up. He pulled Jiminy Crickets (his favorite). Thankfully, he made his 3rd shot so we only did 10 jiminy crickets.

Once that was over, we did a gratitude Indian run on the way back to the COT. We did a few sprints and then 2 minutes of mary. Of course, Cuban lead us with some box cutters.

It was a fun beatdown. Great group of guys.

COT:

Smurfette shared about reaching out to men who weren't there. We need to do a better job of getting folks to the gloom. There are a few prayer requests as well:
– Prayers for Creamer. He and his wife are opening up their home to minister and get to know more people. This is uncomfortable for both of them but they feel the Lord's calling to do this.
– Prayers for Spielberg. He and his wife are doing better and trying to find a place to stay together.
– Prayers for Papa John. Short tempers get the best of all of us. Prayers for all of us that we can lead with grace and good tempers.
– Jungle Love. Continued prayers for his wife as she continues to fight hard against cancer.

Naked Man Moleskin:

The workout had a "Together" theme. We did all of our exercises together. Didn't leave anyone behind. Jesus modeled what "together" meant. We aren't meant to be alone in our battles. In order for Iron to sharpen Iron, both have to be…together. F3 is a way we can experience together. Let's lean into that, be vulnerable, and seek help when we need to. We are in this thing together.
