Intro:

My VQ, so I had to put a lot of thought into it. In the end, I decided I’d give everyone a chance relive their childhood in a big way. Everything centered around a rousing game of Giant Connect Four.

Warm-o-Rama:

After citing the disclaimer (at Chitwood's specific request), we began with a mosey to find a nice patch of grass for a (fast) round of 14 Weedpickers. From there, we took off on another mosey and set up for 24 Hillbillies. Luckily, Divot stepped in to call it as the Q had a brain malfunction. Next, we took off on a another quick mosey before doing a round of 40 Side Straddle Hups. Finally, we took off on our fourth mosey (yes, everything today had to have a four to fit the Connect Four theme) to begin the Thang.

The Thang:

It was now time to break out the Giant Connect Four. We split into 2 teams – Yellow and Green. In order to get a game piece, you had to first do an exercise.

1st Piece: Burpees
2nd Piece: Monkey Humpers
3rd Piece: Merkins
4th Piece: Squats
Repeat

In the first game, you had to do 14 to get the piece. Rules were also a little lax – rather than going one at a time, whoever finished their 14 first ran up to put a piece in. Regardless, the Green team won (Yokel, Airwolf, Graffiti, Carmen Sandiego, and Captain Hook). Next, the winners did a Lunge Walk, while the losers did a Bear Crawl.

Meanwhile, we had some 80's music to keep the fun going (or at least that was the plan, you get what you pay for with free Pandora).

For the second game, we upped it to 24 reps of each exercise; and we tightened the rules, so back and forth we went. This game was a bit harder. The 24 Burpees were tough as the game went round and round and round and round…

Eventually, Law Dog realized that his Yellow Team was about to go down, so he pulled the pin and dropped all the pieces to the ground (he seemed to be an expert at this; perhaps a skill learned from losing often in his 80's childhood?). Alas, the Yellow Team lost again, so off they went on another Bear Crawl, while the winning Green Team did their Lunge Walk.

Luckily, we didn't make it to a third or fourth game, as we would have had to do 34 and 40 reps, respectively!

Instead, we did a quick mosey back to the flag for some Mary. Chitwood led in a round of 30 American Hammers before time ran out.
