Intro:

YHC turned 50 today and Drumstick showed with pink party hats, party favors and a birthday balloon. Impressively several of the PAX put them on (the ones that did not break) and wore them throughout the entire beatdown. I already had my Tiara from the PAX at the early morning trail run so we were all dressed up and ready for the party.

The Thang:

Math is hard but 84 fits nicely into 2800. Brought to you by the number 50.

Mosey over to the middle between the 2 basketball courts. We divided into 2 groups each facing a different basketball court. A basketball court is 84'. We will do 50 runs of down to the end of the court and back. We will stop every 10 to do 50 Merkins. Totaling 2800 yards and 250 Merkins. Let's roll.

After a lot of talk out of the Drumstick and I am pretty sure some run and exercise rep shaving we all finished. I then wanted to check with the PAX to see if they thought I had another 50 left in me. They did not seem so sure (Esp Drumstick).

Then let's rinse and repeat for another 50 with 50 LBC's on every 10.

Strangely enough Drumstick had plenty of energy to keep up with Mandals on this 50 (Again not saying for sure there was run and rep shaving, but, well, we know)

This left just enough time for a long Indian run (1 to grow on) around the track and back to the flag for Marys.

Got close to 4 mi. for the beatdown.

Welcome FNG Hass, you did great esp for a run heavy beatdown.

Let's remember the 3rd 500 conf on 2/2. I am now halfway through my 3rd and need to focus even more outward than I do.
I am blessed to be able to get out here at 50 and run around with all these HIM's of all ages. Like Homeboy says, I feel like someone is going to come tell me that I can't do this any more because I am having way too much fun.

Special thanks to the Blackops trail running group for the impromptu birthday cake and candles in the middle of the trail run before my beatdown. More HIMs that I get to be around… Just a blessed man.

I can't believe that every man does not want to do this.
