Intro:

Anybody remember Mr. Cheeks? The theme this week for Crossroads was going old school, which now seems even more appropriate while filling out this new fangled backblast form.

Warm-o-Rama:

With the threat of rain impending on the radar before leaving the house I was pleasantly surprised to see 10 HIMs show up for some sweet Misty music and exercise. Clock strikes 5:30 and the beats of Ludacris get us moving to the front of the school where we circle up for windmills, weed pickers and hillbillies, all x10 IC.

The Thang:

Feeling like we've been logging fewer miles at the workouts lately YHC decided to up the ante this week. We moseyed back around the school to the other side and stopped mid-way down the bus lanes where I explained what we'd be doing. One of my first Qs was a Cooper at Kodiak and since we've been nostalgic lately, celebrating the 2 year mark, I was going to bring it to the Crossroads since it hadn't been seen in those parts yet (that I was aware of). 10 BBS (instead of burpees since I really hate burpees), 10 squats, 10 merkins and then take a lap around the lights at each end of the bus parking lot. Back at the start 9 BBS, squats and merkins and take another lap. On and on, so forth and so forth until all the way down to 1 and one last lap. It was around this time that we started seeing lightning in the distance, so we gathered under the awning and instead of ring of fire we lined up and held plank while the first person did 10 merkins and then the next all the way down the line. Surprise! Let's bring it back the other direction. Mosey toward the flag, but wait! There's more time so let's line up again and do monkey humpers x10 down the line. Instead of bringing it back this time we finished things off with Captain Thor, 1 BBS:4 American Hammer ratio all the way up to 10:40. Back to the flag and we're done with Youngbloodz providing the final song for us to Shake those 3.14 miles Off.

COT:

Thanks to the sky Q for giving us another day on this rock and the ability to come out and be there to better each other in the gloom. Prayers for Rubber's continued recovery from a sinus infection and also for Alcoa while trying to fend off Shingles while traveling to freakin' India!

Naked Man Moleskin:

‘- It was great to see Rubber back out at Crossroads along with Tallyman and Pink Panther. I always love hanging with the regular guys, but also enjoy getting to know other guys in the smaller settings as well.
– During the COT, YHC flatlined when praying that Rubber "bounce back" from his sinus infection.Tough crowd this morning.
– T-claps to the guys for sticking with the running!
– Legionnaire tried high jacking the Q at one point, but I made it clear that would not be happening this day or ever.
– We were fortunate enough that the rain held off for the workout, but it let us know our time was up immediately after when it started pouring leading to those that remained to scatter for their vehicles.
– And yes, you can successfully pull off playing R. Kelly during a beatdown at an elementary school, but only if its the REMIX!
