The Thang:

Diego: Partner up. Each PS (that's law speak for "partnership") performs collective number of prescribed exercises. One partner performs exercise, while other partner sprints to end of bus lanes and back. Flap jack. Exercises and reps to be completed were: Merkins x 100; Overhead press w/ coupon x 150; WWII Situp x 200; Bicep curls w/ coupon x 250; Squats w/ coupon x 300.

To spice things up, YHC brought the beats pill and blasted 80's hair metal and classic rock tunes throughout routine. AC/DC, Ozzy, Poison, Rush were among artists featured.

To start, PAX were fleet of foot and much mumble chatter ensued. This lasted approximately halfway through the merkins. Then all got quiet and all that could be heard was PAX gasping for oxygen and the sweet sound of electric guitar riffs. At some point YHC passed Fleetwood during the run phase and Fleetwood referred to YHC as Odd Job. Having becomed concerned, YHC called for a 15 count. After 15 count, YHC instructed PAX to continue. Groans could be heard over the tree tops – they thought we were done!

At some point, YHC looked up from WWII sit-ups to notice an older lady jogging around the parking lot in a circle – she looked terrified. YHC is still not sure if this was real or a mirage brought about by 45 minutes straight of bus lane sprints and coupon work.

At 6:12 YHC called time in order to drop coupons back in woods and mosey back to the flag. YHC waited for the Clydesdales, and upon jogging with them closer to the flag, YHC noticed an unmarked cop car and a man with a badge conversing with the PAX – OH NO – PAX are getting Black Miata'd by a Paul Blart! False alarm though – it was X-Files delivering the PAX delicious gourmet doughnuts. Awesome surprise!

COT:

Announcements re: War Towne recon workout this Saturday, at 7 a.m. at Hobgood and 3rd F at the Bakery. Wolverine was the sixth man – he told us how he currently is caring for 3 foster children in addition to 3 of his own. A true HIM! Naming time for FNG: "Hardwood" as he sells flooring. Prayers for PAX, thanks for physical abilities and fellowship, prayers for wisdom.

Naked Man Moleskin:

It was a glorious morning to be out in the gloom with the south side boys. YHC is noticing much physical improvement from the newer guys and continued improvement from the vets. Awesome group of guys to share Tuesday and Thursday mornings with! It is getting warmer and our numbers are blowing up. Great time for TLD!
