With the Christmas season upon us, YHC felt it was time to break out the Christmas themed beatdown I wrote up last year. And with the December Burpee Challenge fully underway some minor modifications were made to accomodate.
Mosey to end of parking lot for some….
SSH…… wait….. is that Cricket pulling into the parking lot? We believe so…
Weed Pickers….. It IS Cricket with a quick mosey to join our little THL crowd…..
Windmills…. The Mole jumped for 1.5 hours at Airborne Canton last night for 2.2 birthday party. Back is TIGHT.
Burpee Mile (ish)…. little to they know it will be cut short….
Run to nearest 1/4 mile marker and do 20 burpees. Plank for the 6 before continuing on.
(Apparently being tardy causes hearing problems because Cricket did not hear the plank for the 6 part and started off in the gloom before the rest of us. Nonetheless, we brought him back to the PAX and continued on.)
After the next 1/4 mile marker at the turf football field, QIC informed the PAX that, “hey, there’s a perfectly good football field. Why don’t we use it.”
As the PAX gathered on the goal line, QIC started the wonderful Christmas song that keeps on giving….
On the 1st day of Christmas my true love gave to me, a 100-yard sprint….
(at the ensuing goal line)… On the 2nd day of Christmas my true love gave to me, 2 star jumps and a 100-yard sprint.
On the 3rd day…. 3 Carolina Dry-Docks, 2 star jumps, and a 100-yard sprint
On the 4th day…. 4 lunges (kodiak), 3 Carolina Dry Docks, 2 star jumps, and a 100-yard sprint
On the 5th day of Christmas my true love gave to me, 5 BUUUUURRRRPEEEEEES! 4 lunges, 3 Carolina dry docks, 2 star jumps, and a 100-yard sprint…..
(you get the idea)….
Day 6 – 6 Big Boy Situps
Day 7 – 7 Makhtar N’Diayes
Day 8 – 8 Squats
Day 9 – 9 Merkins
Day 10 – 10 Monkey Humpers
Day 11 – 11 Nolan Ryans (each side)
Day 12 – 12 Jumping lunges (12 each leg), 11 Nolan Ryans, 10 Monkey Humpers, 9 Merkins, 8 Squats, 7 Makhtar N’Diayes, 6 BBS, 5 BUUUURRRRRPEEEEEES!, 4 Lunges, 3 Carolina Dry Docks, 2 Star Jumps, and a 100-yard sprint
(For those following along at home that’s 40 burpees on the trail loop and then another 40 burpees during the 12 days of Christmas.)
A 10 count was in order after all that.
With much time leftover it was off to the bleachers for some 11’s
Derkins and Box Jumps.
Several PAX threatened to sue for injury on slippery bleachers. Or at least asked where to send their medical bills. YHC should have reminded them of the disclaimer but was not at my wittiest in the moment.
After that fun, a circle Burp was in order. (gotta get those burpees in)
PAX hold plank while each individual does 2 burpees. On the second round we added to 3 burpees.
Much grumbling was being made about how long we were holding plank so it’s back to the trail.
At the 1/4 mile marker we did 10 burpees. (for those that may be counting that’s 95 total burpees for the day)
At the next 1/4 mile marker PAX did 10 more burpees. BONUS BURPEES!!!!! (that’s 105 total for the day)
Mosey up the hill to the big flag pole for some 40’s.
30 dips on the wall – mosey across flag pole area – 10 LBC’s – mosey back
20 dips on the wall – mosey across flag pole area – 20 LBC’s – mosey back
10 dips on the wall – mosey across flag pole area – 30 LBC’s – mosey back
Back to the flag for a couple minutes of Mary:
Hold feet 6 inches off ground into Flutter Kicks IC (x20) – back to holding feet 6-inches
Still 7:58….. LBC IC (x10)
Still 7:59….. Heel touches IC (x15)
