Intro:
I will never listen to “Yeah” by Joe Nichols again.
Warm-o-Rama:
2/10 mile mosey in around upper lot. SSHs, Windmills, Weed Pickers, Sun Gods, Michael Phelps, 5 Copperhead Merkins, 3 burpees
The Thang:
First exercise: Bearmuda Triangle. PAX gather between bus lanes 11 and 12. Perform one burpee. Bear crawl to light post (about 100 feet). Perform 2 burpees. Bearcrawl to second post (about another 100 ft.) Perform 3 burpees. Bear crawl back to starting point to complete triangle. Repeat 1 time. YHC had planned three reps, but some of the PAX had already resorted to lunging at midway through the first round, and we had a lot more exercises to do. Note: TLD PAX, including YHC, definitely need to work on their bear crawls, which suck only slightly less than burpees.
Second exercise: Modified Route 66 with mountain climbers. Staying on upper lot loop, PAX runs and performs mountain climbers at every other light pole, increasing reps from 1 to 11, for a total of 66 mountain climbers. To mix it up a bit, YHC modified the routine so that after each set of mountain climbers, each PAX performed an air squat and 4 lunges (a Dan Taylor) before beginning to run again.
Third exercise: 11's. Pax mosey to the grassy knoll. Began with 1 merkin at bottom and 10 monkey humpers at top. Continue to 10 merkins/1 monkey humper. Early finishers planked for the six, then did one more extra credit round (5/5).
Fourth exercise: Indian Run back to and around upper lot (about a quarter mile).
Back at flag, YHC still had 4 minutes to fill, so it was time to enjoy some country music. PAX circled up in plank position. YHC played "Yeah" by Joe Nichols (is this country music?). Goal was to maintain plank throughout song, doing a 2x mountain climber on every "yeah" and a plank jack on every "she." PAX were very confused by this and it took about the first minute of the song to get it straight. Several PAX including YHC fell to their knees at different points in the song, but the PAX pushed through to the best of their abilities. YHC couldn't believe how many times one man could say the word "Yeah" in a 3-minute song.
COT:
Got to know and named the FNGs. Chops was the Six. Chops announced the ruck challenge. Pie Bar and Old 96er reminded everyone of the Lions Den 3rd F faith study beginning tomorrow. Prayers and thanks for continued health, fellowship, and direction.

It was awesome to start off the 2019 Lions Den with a strong workout. Cheers to Macho Man and Lucky Charms for coming out and gutting out a tough routine!
