INTRO:

8 pax gathered in the gloom. The cold didn’t hamper playing with some morning wood though. While it was cold, there was no shrinkage in the gloom this morning. Sweat, chatter and ball handling were all a part of this beatdown.

WARM-O-RAMA:

THE THANG:

Mosey to the back of the bus lanes. The morning wood was in full force. Each pax grabbed their wood out of the bag and headed in a line. They gently placed their wood on the cold concrete and began exercising. The pax without morning wood had to choose between balls or lap. If they chose balls, they had 10 shots to land 3 free throws. In the meantime, the pax were sweating their …. off exercising with their morning wood. If they missed, they had to take a lap and the pax got to have a little bit more time with their morning wood. If they chose lap, the pax without morning wood ran around the school while the pax sweated and chatted together. 

The wood selected had the following exercises:

• Bear Crawl
• Burpees
• Squats
• Planks
• Freddie Murcury’s
• Jiminy Crickets
• Mountain Climbers

While many tried, only one pax made the three baskets: Chitwood. Swisher started out strong with two hoops but fizzled out prematurely.

After everyone had a chance to play with everyone’s wood, we did 21s and then performed a gratitude run back to the flag. The gratitude run was great. They pax said 2 things they were grateful for and any prayer requests and then sprinted to the front of the line (similar to indian run). 

We wrapped it up with a mozy to the flag with about 4 minutes of mary. We all learned that Chitwood’s favorite exercise is scissor kicks. Thanks for that, Chitwood. 

CIRCLE OF TRUST:

Prayers for

• Chitwood’s family and cousin, Brian. He has terminal cancer and is going through a lot.
• Cuban is hosting missionaries from Kenya. He is trying to figure out what his role in Kenya will be.
• Papa John’s brother. Continues to struggle. He didn’t show up for his Dr’s appointment. Praying that Jesus will grab his heart. 
• Swisher. Prayers for faith and to not treat God like a vending machine (so wise brotha). Prayers for safe travels to China and plenty of “interactions” with his M.
• Aquaman. Prayers for his marriage and baby on the way. 
• AC. Prayers for wisdom and strength in his marriage.
