INTRO:

On this glorious Labor Day Holiday we had 2 PAX post in the gloom. Wild Thing noticed that the field was open so YHC immediately made plans to incorporate that into the beatdown. We’re off!

WARM-O-RAMA:

Without moving a muscle we performed the warm-up right in front of the flag. The exercises were as follows:

15x SSH
10x Windmills
10x Copperhead Squats

With the entire AO at our disposal we started toward the track with a mosey.

THE THANG:

With a smaller group YHC decided to take advantage of this opportunity to further explore the AO in its entirety. The PAX did a quick mosey to the track and did one quick loop around and then back out to the parking lot. At the parking lot the PAX performed 25x Merkins and then we were off again toward the practice field. Just over another 1/4 of a mile near the football field the PAX paused again to perform 30x Squats. No time to stop, we were off again. The PAX continued the mosey all the way behind the middle school near the basketball courts were we paused once more for 35x Monkey Humpers. You guessed it! Back at the mosey to the other practice field and then all the way around the middle school carpool lane. The middle school carpool lane is an excellent site for a future beatdown as it is an exact 400m loop with a decent incline on the fourth turn. After the PAX completed the loop we paused one final time and performed 40x LBC’s. We finished out the mosey by going around the side of the highschool and back to the track. With over 2 miles completed at this point it was time to push the PAX harder.

11’s

With access to the field it was time to break in the bleachers. The PAX lined up at the bottom of the bleachers to perform 11’s. The exercises were Derkins at the bottom and Star Jumps at the top. The bleachers at our AO may very well be the tallest ones that we have access to and it felt that way as we were pushing ourselves up each time. Thoroughly exhausted and beading sweat it was time to finish out the beatdown with an oldie but a goodie

Burpee Broad Jumps

Lining up of the edge of the field the PAX would perform 1 Burpee and then perform a Broad Jump as far as they can go. Repeat the process by increasing the Burpees by 1 each time. This exercise was performed until time ran out and the PAX had to mosey back to the flag. We rolled in exactly as the clock struck 6:15. Recover!

CIRCLE OF TRUST:

Name-o-rama and put out the info for the 9/11 beatdown and the 9/16 ruck event.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

A big thank you to all who not only fought the fartsack this morning, but also came out on a holiday. YHC stopped at The Clinic on my way home to congratulate Gut Check on his VQ as well as encourage some of the PAX to come to The Vineyard on Thursday for the Ricky Bobby Q.
