INTRO:
YHC has a habit of leveraging (stealing) the good ideas of others, this morning was no exception. This mornings victim was Spaceballs and he didn’t even know it. Am I worried? No. With Lawdog and Pie Bar posting I’m all lawyered up.
WARM-O-RAMA:
Mosey’d a bit and circled up on the grass at the front of Freedom. Began normal warm-o-rama when halfway through the second exercise an unnamed man (it was Lawdog) begins teasing YHC about turning to face each man during the exercise. This through off counting forcing the PAX to do extra reps.
SSH x20
Weedpickers x10
Imperial Walkers x unsure due to previously mentioned interruption/teasing
Windmills x12
Mosey to Liberty parking lot
THE THANG:
Circled up on a bag full of wooden blocks with exercises written on each block. Any similarity between this bag and the one used by Spaceballs is completely coincidental.
Each PAX took a turn reaching into the bag-o-exercise, retrieving a block and calling the exercise; 20 reps each. Between exercises, each man ran to the nearest curb and ran back to the circle backwards. The circle rotated, rinse and repeat, and repeat…
The PAX noticed at least one of the exercises was incorrectly labeled using the FIA name. YHC took his lumps and confessed his M made the blocks. YHC now knows a curtsey lunge is not an F3 thing.
Finished in time to mosey back to the flag and knock out one round of LBCs before time was called.
CIRCLE OF TRUST:
Blackhawk was 6th man. This man has served his country for 23 years. Much respect. He shared a funny story that will not be retold here but suffice to say it was a good one… involved using a survival knife to cut well-used underwear into pieces.
Lawdog reminded us of the Veterans Day convergence this Saturday at Veterans Park. 4 x 10-minute beatdowns. And also, Saturday after Thanksgiving serving opportunity – 9am Holiday Lights of Hope set up at Hobgood Park (benefits Anna Crawford Center). Beatdown at 7am, then breakfast, then serve at 9am. Finally, bring M, 2.0’s to JJ Biello Park 9am Sunday, Nov 18. Family cookout!
Praise for Hightops and his M – bringing little Eric into the world. Baby Eric and M are doing fine. (OK, his name is probably not Eric but in case he is not named yet YHC wanted to put a bug in Hightops ear.)
Praying for Chops and his mother after the passing of his father in law last night. Chops’ mother and FIL were married for 25 years. Also for Harp and the passing of his father. Finally for Cricket’s M – to have the baby already – and for Cricket to interact with his M in a way that honors God during this (potentially) stressful time.
Naked-Man Moleskin:
Shout out to Chops. This man is what commitment looks like.
