INTRO:

YHC was excited to lead a 0.0, and had planned accordingly. When Chitwood messaged me the night before it seemed he might be worried since I had not asked for coupons or equipment.  Not wanting any PAX to feel like they were getting gypped (no offense to any travelers reading this, blame colloquial American English), I decided to modify the gloom based activities to use the CINDERellas.

THE THANG:

Now with the warm-up out of the way it was time to introduce the PAX to our pyramids for the morning. The goal was to use the parking lot’s islands as markers for where each pyramid would be done.

First pyramid was done at the flag, and to have 10-20-40-20-10 reps each time doing curls, overhead press, and skull crushers with the lovely CINDERellas. After this set, we would bear crawl to the next island to perform a pyramid there of merkins and dips, and then bear crawl back to the flag to begin the next increment of the pyramid.

(TLDR version:
1)Pyramid 1: 10-20-40-20-10 with block curl, overhead press, and skull crusher.
2) Bearcrawl/Lunge between Pyramids  done after each set.
3) Pyramid 2: 10-20-40-20-10 merkin and dip.

After the first 10 CINDERella pyramid exercises the PAX were off and crawling. YHC honestly drastically underestimated the distance of this bear crawl, and heard a lot of chatter about how long the distance was. Not to be deterred the crawl continued. By the time we got to next crawling section the mumblechatter was to the point that an audible was called to shorten the distance a bit, and do halfway bear crawl then lunges. It felt nice to stretch the legs a bit to be honest, and much joy was had. Apparently the 10-20-40-20-10 pyramid was an odd numbering to the PAX, so I told them it was a ziggurat which is much more appropriately shaped.

At the end of this adventure Chitwood led the PAX in some Freddy Mercury while waiting for the six. By the end of the pyramid/ziggurat and mary we had burned through much more time than YHC thought possible, so I had to cut the the four corners bit, and throw in crab walk back the way we had crawled, and some Carolina Dry Docks with a crabwalk/lunge stint back to the flag in time for the alarm.

CIRCLE OF TRUST:

Prayers for Lawdog’s M with new stresses at work, and praises for Chitwood as he begin his new work venture, as well as for the blessing and consideration for him his former boss has given.

Shared a bit about Judges 14-16 and Samson. He was proud and confident in “his” ability. His strength and deeds were blessings from God, and we should all strive hard, but know that we are blessed, be humble, not boastful or arrogant. Help us to all remain humble and continue to give thanks for the good things in our lives.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

Ziggurat was the title given to my misshapen pyramid blueprints, so thanks for calling me out on the odd numbering. Based on timing clearly we could not have done the 10-25-50 structure though. Maybe we need to work on some more bear crawling? The Iron Pax challenge is in full swing, and base don the difficulty of doing all this upper body work, I can tell it is some good exercise.  Hopefully no one has been skipping leg day, because YHC clearly did not bring that to this beatdown. Was trying to plan something to take some time off legs in case we had anyone show up who needed to give them a break. As always good to be with this group.
