INTRO:

YHC offered to take the Q in place of Cricket since he is out of commission supporting his mom with her continued health battle. YHC felt that we should begin the beatdown remembering the struggle Cricket and his mom are dealing with, and I wanted to make our beatdown painful and exhausting so that we can all struggle together.

YHC also did eat an entire Marco’s pizze yesterday, and at least one beer and a cocktail as well. Ashamed and fatter than usual,  YHC led the pack of Pax to the football field gates to find that they were locked and Cricket has the key. YHC’s plan was destroyed, so time to improvise!

WARM-O-RAMA:

Mosey to bus lanes, circle up. Very surprisingly, we did:

SSH x 15

Windmills x 10

Imperial Walkers x 15

Sun Gods OYO

THE THANG:

Since the field was a no-go, same type of plan I had. Using the walkway overhang poles as markers (instead of yard line markers on the field), we started at the first pole and ran to the last pole. That’s where we did 10 merkins, 20 big boy situps, and 30 side-straddle hops. Then we returned to the other end of the bus lanes where we started from, but only going to the second pole (not the first one that we started at). That’s where we performed 5 burpees. We then ran back to the last pole, again performing the 10 merkins, 20 big boy situps, and 30 SSH. Then run back to 3rd pole, 5 burpess, and rinse and repeat this for 20 minutes. Time was clearly up on those when I saw Banjo starting to struggle to breathe.

Next was two line Indian runs, headed back toward the flag but stopping at every other light pole on the way there to allow one lucky Pax to lead us in Mary using cadence to work on some cadence calls to get some possible VQ practice in. Each light pole we stopped at, YHC thought we would add in some extra sauce (5 burpees at the first light pole after Mary exercise, then at each light pole adding extra sauces like 10 squats, 20 big boy situps, etc.).

Back to the flag finally, and still time for bear crawl (kitty crawl) suicides across the parking lot for some exfoliation on our paws. Back to the flag to some last minute Mary…. and then done!

CIRCLE OF TRUST:

Prayers for Cricket and his mom/family. Strength and comfort, and healing.

Praise to God for keeping Banana Boat safe in Indonesia with the earthquake there. Hoping he is able to glorify the Lord and brings others to Christ.

Prayers for Voodoo’s brother with his recovery from blood clots that were caught. Praise God for allowing them to be caught early.

Prayers for the Pike County football player that passed away. May his family find peace in Christ.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

Ol’ Blue was the 6th man and talked about how he got his name (going back to school for another degree) and how he enjoys golf.  He also led a solid cadence during Mary and I think he will be ready to VQ soon. That is also true about Dixie Chick as well, and I have to also say damn nice work to Bloomers today as well. He pushed hard!

Really enjoyed being able to lead you men, and it’s always a good time at Kodiak.
