INTRO:
One of the best parts of committing to be the Q is you HAVE to show up. Had I not been the Q, I dare say I might have succumb to the fartsack. Since YHC definitely had the Q, it was time to get up and get moving. The plan was simple: The Board of Pain, but completed as a team. The actual outcome was not the same as what was planned.
The cars kept rolling in and we ended up with 7. Not bad for the day after Christmas. Time to get things moving.

We’re already in the circle so let’s just get started.
THE THANG:
What was supposed to happen was that the PAX would complete the Board of Pain as a group. Formed in a circle YHC would do 1 burpee, the next PAX would do 1 burpee, and so on until we got to 100. This worked out just fine until we got to the next exercise….150 SSH. 1x per PAX would not have been fun. A mid-Q modification was made to have everyone do the 150x SSH together. We all performed 75x SSH in cadence (75 x 2 = 150, Homeboy) and even counting to 75 sucked. Next exercise…oh, crap. Mid-Q modification made again to have each PAX increase by 1x as we went around the circle. That last about 30 seconds as we realized the math involved there and we immediately lost count. Final modification….each PAX performed 5x of the exercise while the other PAX either held plank or air chair. That seemed to work out. Yeah, that’s what YHC had planned all along! The complete list of exercises was:
Burpees – 100 (each PAX did 1x while others held air chair)
SSHs– 150 (all PAX performed while YHC counted)
Plank Jacks – 100 (each PAX did 5x while others held plank)
Merkins – 100 (each PAX did 5x while others held plank)
Squats – 100 (each PAX did 5x while others held air chair)
LBCs – 200 (each PAX did 10x while others held 6-inches)
Carolina Dry Docks – 100 (each PAX did 5x while others held plank)
Russian Twists – 100 (each PAX did 5x while others held 6-inches)
Makhtar N’Diayes – 100 (each PAX did 5x while others held plank)
Jump Squats – 100 (each PAX did 5x while others held air chair)
Mountain Climbers – 100 (each PAX did 5x while others held plank)
Shoulder Raises – 200 (each PAX did 20x while others performed cherry pickers)
Star Jumps – 100 (each PAX did 5x while others held air chair)
Dollys – 200 (each PAX did 20x while others held 6-inches)
We ran out of time after the Dolly’s with only 1 minute remaining. With the time that was left the PAX performed Burpees until the clock ran out. Time to put a lid on this turd pile.

Homeboy stressed the importance of reaching out to some of the PAX that started off strong but stopped coming. He recently heard back from a PAX that said that he loved F3, but felt that he was holding everyone else back and that’s why he quit showing up. Let’s reach out to some of these men. It’s coming up on a new year and there is no reason that anyone should feel excluded for being the 6.
