INTRO:

Showed up early in the gloom to get my bearing. Hank Hill was first to show and was already letting the sweet smell of propane fill the air. I knew this would be a difficult Q, but Mr. Hank Hill wouldn’t let that stop him from making it a bit worse!

WARM-O-RAMA:

The longest mosey around the amphitheater, zig and zag on EVERY tier of the grass steps. The mumblechatter started before we were halfway through the mosey. That’s when I knew it’d be a good morning! This was followed by Sun Gods and Weedpickers.

Clinic Count (2x): Count off and remember your number. Pax does one exercise while each take turns doing another exercise. We did SSH while Pax took turns doing Burpees.

THE THANG:

Bear Crab Mountain – Using the giant stairs. Bear crawl up and celebrate by completing 20 star-jacks (aka star-jumps). Then crab crawl down the mountain, completing 20 squats before doing it all again! We completed this 3 times before moving on. This was incredibly tough but Pax pushed through. Clinic Count before moving on.

The Run – Indian run all the way to the Chat Tech parking lot, all while raising our hands above our heads. Audible to zombie arms, then arms down. In the parking lot we did 100 merkins OYO. Mosey back to the amphitheater. Clinic Count when we get back.

Mary – We had some time for an intense, ab-focused Mary. Box cutters, American Hammers, LBCs, V-Ups, T-bones, and reverse-shoulder-plank-touch-thing-that-Hooch-loves,

CIRCLE OF TRUST:

Spaceballs – Father in-law with Alzheimers, prayer for his M as she visits him.

Absentee – Doctor’s appointment.

Skynet – Praises about his grandparents. Grandfather is out of the hospital and moved into their new house.

Matchstick – Son getting tubes in his ears. Prayer for a quick and easy process.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

F3 (and life for that matter) are about more than just the individual. Sure, we work on our bodies, get sexy abs, and are able to walk up the stairs without getting out of breath. But we aren’t made to do life alone. It’s meant to be together.

“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.” Acts 2:42. This gives us a picture of the early church, dedicated to growing together and to being committed to each other. This is what I see out in the gloom. A bunch of men that are committed to growing their bodies, their minds, and their communities. Take the example of the early Jesus-followers, be giving of yourself and be committed to others.

Shoutout to Spaceballs for leading the way, always doubling back and picking up the 6. This is just a small way (and often difficult way) to show that we are committed to others. Thanks for leading us!
