INTRO:

After receiving a question about how to get down to New Bull Pen from the park, I decided to take the boys on an excursion of that side of the park and blend in the 101 Burpees along with some other fun activities….

WARM-O-RAMA:

Warmup jog to the barn for a quick warm up of SSH + Windmills + 10 burpees, then run across the tall grassy field over to the first horse tie down + bench.

THE THANG:

A. At the field bench, perform 10 burpees + 2 rounds of partner rows and merkins then run to the red trail up the hill to the white fsr and loop back into the pink to the second horse tie down + bench.  Manning and Homeboy together again on the partner rows…. happy to see them together, but it was not as thrilling as that first fateful when Homeboy and Lawdog did them!

B. Switching up partners, perform 2 rounds of partner rows and merkins and then 10 burpees.  Then run on down the hill and out to the trail that runs along New Bull Pen and back to the entrance of the park for another 10 burpees.

C. Then run to the easement/power line (plus 10 burpees) and down the hill to the bottom with a hairpin turn for another 10 burpees.

D. Into the creek where I immediately lost my shoe to the sucking effect the mud had.  Manning sprinted by and splashed through while the rest of us were in hot pursuit.  Once out of the water, we headed straight up the hill (plus 10 burpees) through the back entrance to Pull Up A for another 10 burpees and 2 rounds of 10 mountain climber pull ups and 10 merkins.

E. Straight out to the parking lot to complete the final 21 burpees and meet up with the solid RUCKERS.

CIRCLE OF TRUST:

Prayers for Dory’s wife and insomnia, the Creekview boys and families, Homeboy’s dad and effects of chemo, and others unspoken.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

What a blessing it is to be able to get out and enjoy the trails in the morning.  Whether rucking or running, being out in the nature whether in rain, wet, mud, dry, dusty, brambles or no – it is great to be out there.  The park at first pass seems to have limited trails, but it really has a lot to offer and yet remains quite rustic at the top end of Milton.  Enjoy the life we have been given one day at a time, for that is all we have.
