INTRO:
We launched a brand spanking new, Saturday beatdown this past weekend on the South Side! It was awesome! Drumstick felt sorry for us and showed up from Hickory Flat. The rest of the Pax all live in North Cherokee. We did not have a single dude show up from Woodstock. Sounds like this one will be a major hit! (insert my sarcasm and passive aggressive tendencies here). In all seriousness, YHC hopes the south side Pax plugs into this beatdown and steps up to take ownership of it. Otherwise YHC is going to have a long drive every Saturday to workout and feed the ducks. Dupree park is a perfect location and Saturday beatdowns are the best!
WARM-O-RAMA:
SSH – IC
Weed Pickers – IC
Windmills – IC
Tempo Merkins – IC
THE THANG:
Wall of Fire
3 pax against the wall for wall sit while doing air presses. The other 3 pax knock out 10 merkins, 10 BBS and 10 burpees. Then switch out with the 3 pax on the wall. Go through two rounds of this.
Sprint and Bear Crawl
Pax line up on the field. Sprint 90 yards. At 90 yards bear crawl 10 yards. Mosey back to where you started. Once back to the starting line we knocked out 50 SSH’s. Rinse and repeat this routine 3 more times. At the end of each sprint / bear crawl we knocked out merkins, LBC’s and american hammers.
Flora 1-2-3 (think we almost got Westside to Merlot on this one)
100 merkins – P1 starts with 20 merkins with hands on block / P2 holds plank with feet on block until P1 finishes 20. Flapjack and keep going until 100 reps are done
200 LBC’s – P1 starts with 20 LBC’s with block sitting high on your chest. P2 hold feet 6 inches off the ground and hold block with arms straight in the air. Flap Jack / rinse and repeat.
300 Goblet squats – P1 starts with 20 Goblet Squats with block. P2 holds air chair with block. Flap jack / rinse and repeat.
Mosey to the tennis courts. 4 corners. 10 burpees each corner. Sprint to 2nd corner. Bear crawl to 3rd corner. Crab walk to 4th corner.
We did some kind of Mary. I was smoked and cant remember everything.
CIRCLE OF TRUST:
Prayers for Kiffin and his mom.
Prayers for Garf, the new baby and his M.
Praise for Dory learning how to put his faith and trust in God a little more each day.
Naked-Man Moleskin:
YHC doesn’t know where to start with this one. Drumstick told a great story about Peter and Frank. It had something to do with a piano and a game they like to play. It was awesome. You should ask him about it sometime. Then he topped off that story with one about him farting in front of a guy during lunch that he had never met. That story was even more awesome. Westside was looking kinda rough after hanging out the Battery the night before. Good work for showing up bro. We talked about the Bridgemill launch coming up on 9-25-18. We pondered if this new beatdown should be named “The Pineapple.” As a matter of fact, I think I saw Garf at Publix a few years ago on Sixes Rd with a Pineapple in his shopping cart. Garf, bruh talk to us….
In classic HB style, the COT was totally butchered. After we finished Mary, YHC was like “lets go get some water and coffee!” So that is what we did. As we were laughing and knee slapping around the coffee, YHC remembered the Name-o-rama and the COT.
Hopefully the Pax steps up and makes this new beatdown a success. If our first beatdown is any indication of it’s future success, (Drumstick’s stories, Westside almost spilling merlot, no site Q, no Woodstock / Hickory Flat guys present and my butchered COT) this beatdown is going to need your prayers! Just like the rest of Rogue F3 Cherokee.
