INTRO:

YHC rolled in about 5:17 to plant the flag,.   That thing barely fits in my Camry – I need a truck.  Transporting the F3 flag seems like a good enough reason – right?  Westside was already there – impressive after a Saturday frog town, and a 1 AM night last night after getting home from the Braves game.  PAX continued to show, it hit 5:29 and Drumstick pulled in, stepping out just in time to join our mosey.

WARM-O-RAMA:

Short mosey to a spot in the parking lot.  10 SSH, 10 Copper Head Squats, 10 Weed Pickers, 10 Windmills.  No nonsense.

THE THANG:

Started things off with an Indian Run up the back loop past the baseball field, hung a left after the practice football field and ended up in our regular spot at the high school entrance.   1 of the PAX had to pull back a bit and walk during the Indian Run, but he was not left alone thanks to Beater.  No PAX left behind fellas!

Next up – the Quarter Pounder.  One of my favorites, it really gets the heart pumping.  Sprint to the first light pole, 25 merkins, back to the start.  Sprint to the second light pole, 50 squats, back to the start.  Sprint to the third light pole, 75 mountain climbers (kodiak count), back to the start.  Sprint to the fourth light pole, 100 SSH, back to the start.   Called Mary waiting for the six.

Short mosey over to the stairs leading up to the middle school, stopped in front of a brick wall at perfect height.  Next up was Elevens, incorporating Box Jumps and Derkins as the exercises.   Multiple wall heights allowed PAX to modify as needed.   Air chair waiting for the six.

Mosey over to the big hill (it really needs a NAME!!).  YHC instructed the PAX that we would be doing a version of Burpback Mountain.   PAX paired up.   One guy does burpees at the bottom of the hill.  The other guy goes up and down the hill for two round trips.  Then they switch it up.  This hill is BIG.  PAX could use any means necessary to get up the hill.   Some opted for bear crawls.  Goal is 100 burpees total.   YHC called time, and one pair got to 100 (nice work Westside/Ricky Bobby).   Drumstick wouldn’t be out done and finished 10 burpees after time to get his pair to 100.  That’s what I like to see boys!

Mosey back to the flag.  Except, we pulled up about 100 yards short and YHC called a sprint to the flag.  Way to finish strong fellas!

CIRCLE OF TRUST:

Congrats Beater on a 9 year anniversary this week!  Prayer requests for Rick Bobby – lost the family dog who was like a big brother to his two sons, and prayers for his upcoming work/travel schedule that is going to be hectic and hard on the family.

YHC closed the COT in prayer.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

Really enjoyed pushing myself and the PAX this workout, it was a tough one.  Heart rate didn’t get much of a break the whole time.  Was hoping for some merlot but still nothing!!  Gut Check what is your secret at the Clinic?

Beater and I took the quarter Q on Mondays at the Vineyard, looking forward to Q’ing every other week – love this AO!    Need to get some more FNGs out to the Vineyard – that’s as much on me as anyone.
