INTRO:

Tis the season for gift giving so YHC figured the PAX would enjoy some presents during the beatdown. However, these would have to be presents of pain in order to meet the high expectations of Stonecladians!  7 PAX ran down the stairs (i.e. drove to Sequoyah Park) full of anticipation in grabbing presents from under the Christmas tree (yes, there was a Christmas tree), tearing off wrapping paper (ok, actual wrapping paper may be a bit of a stretch) and having some fun!

WARM-O-RAMA:

With the PAX gathered around the Christmas tree, we did a short mosey on around the parking lot to get started.  Once back to the tree, we did:

– SSH x 25 (Christmas is on 25th after all)

YHC mentioned John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” – since He is the reason for the season we did  3 exercises / 16 reps each

– Weedpicker x16

– Imperial Walker x 16

– Copperhead Squat x 16

THE THANG:

Each PAX grabbed their present from underneath the Christmas tree. We rolled a die to determine if we would do the NICE loop (Even) or the NAUGHTY loop (Odd)…rolled a 6 so we started with the NICE loop.  Each loop consisted of 4 stops.  At each stop 1 PAX would unwrap their present (i.e. pull out a tag from the name tag holder on the sand baby)  to reveal the exercise. Some exercises were done IC while most were OYO.  We would start with 5 Burpees and then do 5 burpees after each exercise (which would give 25 burpees per loop).  While walking between stops, we would do a portion of the Colt 45 (lower 45 curl, upper 45 curl, full 90 curl) or overhead carry (Cusak, Zamporini, etc.). After the first loop we rolled another even # so called an audible for the NAUGHTY loop for a change in scenery…which meant we walked down to the lower parking lot and back around making 4 stops along the way. Exercises included:

– Merkins x 25

– Thrusters x 25

– American Hammers x 25 4 count

– Mountain Climbers x 25 Kodiak

– Skull Crushers x 25

– LBC’s w/ Coupon x 25

– Flutter Kicks w/ Coupon x 25 4 Count

– Wood Choppers x 25

– Genuines x 25

– Copperhead Squats x 25

Everyone did awesome and we enjoyed some good mumblechatter since music was not possible due to the rain. We did both the NICE and NAUGHTY loops as well as a couple of extra stops to finish right at 6:15. Ended with 60 burpees in total.

CIRCLE OF TRUST:

Good Hands was our 6th man and shared what F3 has meant to him over the past year.  He has become stronger physically which has driven him to be more intentional about getting stronger in other areas of his life.  Great words today brother…really appreciate you sharing! We all get stronger together!

Prayers for Palosi’s mother (MIL?) who has been regaining strength after a recent illness.  However, current meds she is on caused her to have a panic attack on a flight yesterday. She was able to work through it and made it to her destination but she has more travels planned throughout the holiday season.

Prayers for peace for our brother Thrasher as he get results from recent MRI and biopsy today. Editorial Note: Since this BB is being written late in the day, we know prayers have been heard and answered as Thrasher received some good news today from the most recent tests.

Red Hat asked for prayers for Paula, a friend of his, who is scheduled to have a surgery in January. Prayers for peace while she awaits for the date of the surgery to arrive.

YHC spoke about peace and how not only is it an awesome gift from the Lord but also how it can be used a guardrail to keep our paths straight. YHC challenged the PAX to take time to reflect on the gift of peace during these typically hectic times.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

Great morning to get in the gloom at Stoneclad and enjoy the rain. For those of us planning to do the Cherokee Challenge, perhaps it will make it suck a little bit less if it is not raining in the wee hours of Saturday morning. Good work by all PAX and thanks for playing along and enjoying your presents!

John 14:27 – Peace I leave you, my peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your heart be troubled and do not be afraid.
