INTRO:

With the upcoming changing of the guard for the next quarter Q YHC thought it would be appropriate to do some Q school with a twist. As PAX continued to roll up everyone drew from a deck of numbered index cards folded in half and taped shut. On the bottom was an exercise and type of count (IC, OYO, Kodiak Count, up/down, etc) for them to call out. With the ground rules set we started our tour of the AO.

WARM-O-RAMA:

Moseyed to the playground and went with #1-3, Weed Picker, CopperHead Squat, and SSH all IC. Next, we moseyed to the front of the school.

THE THANG:

I don’t recall the order or count for all the remaining exercises, but there were 18 total that consisted something similar to: Merkins, BBSU, Lunges, Crab cakes, Donkey Humpers, Air Presses, Crunchy Frogs, Hillbillies, Burpees, Monkey Humpers, Split Jacks, Plank Jacks and Absolution for those advanced learners that wanted to know what an 8 count IC was all about. We did these among various moseys and stops around the AO and came in right at 2 miles when it was all said and done. While at the front of the school I noticed a nice hill that we had not yet taken advantage of, albeit with a sizable puddle at the bottom. So, we did some 11s with squats at the bottom and LBCs at the top, always adding up to (you guessed it) 11.

At the end everyone opened their cards in sequence and here’s what was revealed: Eenie Meenie Miney Mo You Are It!!! Lively was the lucky recipient of the It!!! card. Congrats, Lively!

CIRCLE OF TRUST:

Prayers for those in the path of the hurricane, both that decided to tough it out and those that evacuated for the uncertainty of what they’ll come back to. Also, for our F3 brothers on the DL. Hasbro got some tough news regarding his knee, so keep him in your thoughts. Watch over those traveling as well.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

– YHC came in thinking a new qtr Q had not been decided yet, but then was informed early on that Alcoa had stepped up and committed to Q the Crossroads next qtr. We continued on as planned and instead of fate deciding the next qtr Q we just a hard committ for a VQ in the coming weeks from Lively. Alcoa better get started on those themes and playlists. Aquaman set a high bar!

– Tclaps to all the PAX for not only getting stronger today but wiser as well. Thanks for being good sports for those newbies learning how things are done. Some good constructive feedback and practice and they’ll be ready to launch their own site. Because as we all say if Homeboy can do it anyone can.

– Wingman stepped up as the 6th man since Preacher has gone a few times recently. He finally cleared the air and confirmed that Manning gets the credit for his FNG post.

– Apologies if I left anybody out of the PAX list, or included someone that didn’t post. Turns out I took 2 pictures instead of starting a video and stopping it. Had a hard time recalling 17 PAX by memory.

As always it was true honor and privilege to lead a great group of men this morning in the gloom. Misty out!
