INTRO:
After Chitwood’s persistent scratching and clawing at YHC, time to make my Playground debut. Rolling into the frosty Playground jamming out to ‘Kickstart my Heart’ by Motley Crue – it’s obvious this will be a good beatdown. YHC’s second Q this week, figured it would be prudent to keep them similar in celebrating 21s with 10 burpee penalty to achieve everyone’s burpee challenge numbers for the day.

WARM-O-RAMA:

Mosey around the lot to meet a tardy Dandy. Circle up…

10 Weed Pickers

10 Windmills

10 Imperial Walkers

10 Copperhead Squats

THE THANG:

Stay circled up for first demonstration of 21s. SSH to 21 – Thrasher failed us miserably. 10 burpee penalty. Mosey 2 lights down. Circle up for 21s Imperial Walkers – fail. 10 burpee penalty. Mosey 2 more lights down. Circle up for Merkin 10s – which we actually succeeded. Skip the burpees. Mosey back to original place of SSH for a rinse and repeat session for all of the above. After 2 rounds, we were 40 burpees in.

Part 2 – needed more burpees. Line up in middle of lot, lunge to curb where 1 merkin is performed, then jog back to original line where 1 burpee is performed. Continue this 10 times increasing one rep each time – clocking in total another 55 burpees and 55 merkins.

Part 3 – 6 burpess together  to get all 101 burpees for the day. Then, time for one more SSH 21s, penalty is 15 burpees this time. Thrasher failed us again – 15 extra credit burpees. Total count – 116 burpees and about the same in merkins.

CIRCLE OF TRUST:

This was my favorite part of this beatdown, actually. Prayers for Dory for rest and peace through this hard season of letting go of a very old family-owned business. Letting go of loyal employees is tough, but God will see them/you through and somehow make it a positive change for all. Prayers for Thrasher for healing, patience, and strength for the third upcoming battle. May the armor of God be upon you, brother.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

I stated yesterday on the Paragon BB, this term makes me think of ‘Naked Man Molson’ . If you guys have every met Molson, it’s not something you want to think about each time you do a BB. Love you all and thanks for the opportunity to Q at the Playground. Solid HIMs abound there.
