INTRO:

Third time is the charm with Qs this week, I guess! I had offered to Q The Happy Jack last week, but then I swore C4 said something about Woody taking. With Woody being a much better runner than YHC, YHC was more than happy to defer. Something must had been lost in communication because there was no Woody to be found, so YHC decided to make up something on the fly. My only fear was being the first Happy Jack Q to not hit the 5K minimum!

WARM-O-RAMA:

We moseyed across the grass fields to the far corner and circled up:
– 20 SSH IC
– 10 Windmills IC
– 10 Hillbillies IC

THE THANG:

Round 1: The around the grass fields are 6 large light posts, so we ran around the fields doing 10 merkins at each post.

Round 2: We then moved to the paved path and did a lap around the park. We stopped at each 1/4 mile marker and alternated 10 Shoulder Taps and 20 LBCs

Round 3: Flapjack with 10 Reverse Lunges and 10 Flutter Kicks at each marker.

On our way back to the flag, we lined up and really opened up our legs with a nice sprint across the grass fields.

We finished up the remaining time with some Mary:

– 10 Peter Parkers IC
– 10 Parker Peters IC

CIRCLE OF TRUST:

We wrapped up the COT praying for family friends with a little girl (Chloe) with a brain tumor. They had been doing testing that week and were headed to CHOA that day to get results and plan of attack. They found out that they tumor had been growing, but they’re waiting on more results to determine the proper treatment. They go back this Tuesday (9/25) to finalize the treatment program. Please be in prayer for her. Her father is in the Army and they live in Savannah where he is in training.
