INTRO:

YHC did some recon with Google Maps Satellite view, and Westside provided a scout report upon arrival… so the virgin Q for this AO was no problem.  So many great features at The Vineyard, it will be great to get back here soon.  To continue giving the shoulder time to heal, this was planned to be all legs and abs.  And even though it was a record cold for the season so far (25 deg), it didn’t feel bad with the love of the PAX this morning.

WARM-O-RAMA:

• Mosey to the other side of the school
• 20 SSH, IC
• 10 Windmills, IC
• 10 Weedpickers, IC
• Quad Stretch (heel to butt), OYO

THE THANG:

Normal Indian Run, 2 times through all PAX

Hands (Legs, actually) of Time. 

• PAX on their six in a circle (COP), heads toward the middle.  This makes a nice chimney of smoke in the cold weather.
• All PAX Legs straight to the sky… Q drops legs to 6″ and does a count of 3 and holds, then the next PAX does the same, and so on around the circle.
• As the revolution continues back to where it started, Legs back up to the sky for a count… then the next PAX does the same until it comes around the circle again
• Increased the counts at the bottom and top to 6, 9, and 12 for each revolution.  Kept going at 12-count until PAX seemed exhausted from it.

Indian Run Gamble with Monkey Humpers

• The last 2 in the Indian Run column sprint ahead of the rest of the PAX to a place well ahead.
• The sprinting pair attempt to complete 20 Monkey Humpers before the rest of the PAX arrive
• The next pair in the column do the same.
• Increased to 30 Monkey Humpers when it seemed 20 was too easy.
• Completed 2-3 times through all PAX

Captain Thor

• These are great, even in an early/mid beatdown… why save them until the end?
• 1 Big Boi Situp, 4 Hammers (Rubicon), IC.  Keep the 1:4 ratio, going to 10 BigBois and 40 Hammers
• YHC had to up the volume a few times to encourage the PAX to keep the count (because YHC cannot count during these)
• Sucks Good

Catch Me If You Can, with Split Jacks

• In Partners, 1 man does 20 Split-Jacks (jump Lunges, KODIAK count) while the partner runs backwards.
• When 20 Split-Jacks are completed, Sprint to catch the running-backward partner
• Upon catching the partner, switch roles
• Repeat to get each PAX 2-3 times at each role.

Get Up and Take the Hill

• OYO, complete 4x ascending Gas Pumpers, 1 Good Morning Abby, and a Sprint to the top of a steep hill. Repeat.
• Ex:  4 Gas Pumpers (on the six, legs and back off the ground, hands on the ground at the six; pull legs in and extend back out for “1”).  Then 1 Abby (get up from the six without using hands).  Then sprint up the hill.     Then 8 Gas Pumpers, 1 Abby, Sprint….  Then 12 Gas Pumpers, 1 Abby, Sprint…
• Called it at about 32 Gas Pumpers for the sake of time

Prayers for SwampDonkey’s family, wisdom to make wise and fair choices for extended family.  For Wingman’s health as he recovers from serious back injury.  For other men of F3 who are hurting and working through tough family issues, especially during this season where we try to capture the most Joy.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

In my thinking, I can get pulled off track so easily to short-term pains, frustrations, and my own stupidity.  The time with the men of F3 help me to get back on track.  I am reminded and refreshed (ironically) from beatdowns in the cold gloom.  If we can accomplish so much for each other in the very first hours of the day, how much more will God accomplish for us in the hours, days, and weeks to come?  I will be filled by the Spirit, the spirit of the PAX, and then Pour it Out.
