INTRO:
After being thoroughly riled up by Manning’s heresy (calling Paragon a Dumpster Fire), YHC had a revelation in a dream that Manning just needed more love (Good Will Hunting style). With the honorable presence of some of the more distinguished PAX, this beatdown ensured he got some hugs and warmth for his nutsack.
WARM-O-RAMA:
- Longer Mosey around the far lights of the parking lot (it’s getting a bit colder)
- Windmills IC
- Weed-pickers IC
- Michael Phelps OYO
- Squats IC
- Quad stretch OYO
Mosey to the field…
THE THANG:
The Fireman’s Carry was the highlight of this workout and it worked fairly well, so YHC expects to see more in the future. It was meant in a series of 3 sub-routines: Fireman’s Carry, Tammy Wynette, Indian Run.
Fireman’s Carry – After a demonstration that the smallest PAX can carry one of the largest PAX in Fireman’s Carry position, each one found a partner and carried 50 yds, then switch the rider for the ridee, and hustled back.
Tammy Wynette (stand by your man) #1 – In groups of partners… while one man is upright and exercising, the other is in a down position exercising. Each man does either 10 or 20 reps (the partners must match reps), then they switch exercises. Keep switching and counting until they reach 200 total reps each (100 of each exercise, for each PAX). First round, Merkins and Squats.
The first round was sloppy because of excessive chatter and confusion about how to count to 200. Q gave up reigning them in, and like wild monkeys need sometimes, a change of scenery…
Indian Run the 1/4 mi track. It was perfect for the 15 PAX such that each man got 1 sprint to the front.
Fireman’s Carry (YHC got to love on Manning this time… nice and tight to the hip, with a good shoulder to nuts contact to make Manning know what it’s all about). 50yds, switch rider/ridee.
Tammy Wynette #2: Big Boi Situps and Mike Tysons (Lunge Jumps, single move Rubicon count). 200 total reps for each PAX (100 of each exercise).
Indian Run 1/4 mi. Again, the PAX got through the sprints right on time.
(skipped Fireman’s Carry, for no particular reason, but the timing worked out perfectly)
Tammy Wynette #3: Al Gore (hold squat with arms out front) and Shoulder Press (cannot remember the name for these). Partner 1 holds the Al Gore while Partner 2 does 10-20 reps of the press. The Press is done in a bear-crawl position with the butt as high as possible, making the back and arms as vertical as possible (head down). Lower down till the head is at the ground and press up.
Indian Run 1/4mi… still perfect timing… and back to the flag…
With 3-4 minutes left, Box Cutters IC for 20. Then Imperial Walkers IC until time ran out. Legionnaire has a great little dance with Imperial Walkers. Check it out sometime.
CIRCLE OF TRUST:
A lot going on over the next month with 2nd F and service opportunities: Veterans Day Challenge Nov 10, Service Rucks on Nov 3 and 10, Christmas Decorating to support children (it’s all on the calendar… get out and do at least one of these). Pour it out.
Prayer Requests for health as we approach the busy season of the Holidays. Eat well (not a ton of stuff… but intentionally well), take care of the bodies we have, and build margin into the schedule. Be a deep well, a water tower, as a love reservoir… not a canal that can only immediately pass what it receives, because then it is left empty for most of the time.
Naked-Man Moleskin:
YHC is still inspired. Honored that great men are willing to pour into this peon and then follow the same as Q. We will move out in confidence with the authority given to us, but we will have the deep strength to apply it gently when needed. It is building to something more. The reverberations will be felt.
