INTRO:
9 PAX came out today to enjoy the latest in a series of cold, gloomy, rainy mornings.
WARM-O-RAMA:
12 Hairy Rockettes. For some reason I wrote Hairy Merkins (which sounds like a weird uncle) on my cheat sheet so we stuck with that name.
12 Weed Pickers
12 SSH
12 Invisible Jump Ropes (This looked kind of ridiculous, I started cracking up watching everyone)
THE THANG:
There were 4 stations marked by cones. So, there is some argument over whether or not Stoneclad is 0.0 or not. So our first exercise was
30 diamond merkins
“mosey” (not run) to the warehouse and back
30 fingertip merkins.
The order got a little messed up here, but we got it done.
Next loop was:
30 Mountain Climbers
Bear Crawl to Cone 1
20 Mountain Climbers
Crab Crawl back to start
There was a lot of modifying here. Kudos to Good Hands for sticking it out.
Up Next:
25 Squats
Lunge walk to Cone 2
25 Squats
Lunge walk back to start.
Next Up:
Mosey (not run) to Cone 3 at the playground
20 Swerkins
30 Dips
15 Pull Ups
20 Squeaky Bed Dollys
Mosey (not run) to Cone 4 at the “quarry”
Next:
20 (modified) Wonderbras using a granite stone
25 Butt Kickers holding your stone (not as perverted as it sounds)
20 Stone curls (Kodiak count). Wait that’s like 60 curls. I was trying to kill time. Maybe not the best way to do it.
Mosey (not run) back to start.
That was supposed to be all. But it didn’t take nearly as long as I thought. But it looked good on paper. So let’s start repeating in order to make up time.
Next:
Skipped the bear crawl since no one did it anyway.
Repeated the lunge walk routine.
Repeated the playground activities
Repeated the quarry activities.
Mosey (not run) back to start.
20 burpees
Circle up for some PAX led core exercises. I don’t recall what everyone chose, but I do remember that the counts were high. Way to push us through PAX!
CIRCLE OF TRUST:
Prayers for Cousteau’s son who recently had ACL surgery.
Naked-Man Moleskin:
The lunges gave everyone time to discuss deep philosophical questions. I won’t go into it, but let’s just say I’ll never think of boat building the same way again. There was also some poking fun at Chitwood because his name rhymes with @#%#$Wood. You’ve thought the same thing, admit it! All in all, I’m glad I VQ’d at Stoneclad. The men there are great encouragers. There was a lot that didn’t go as expected but they were gracious about the whole thing and never laughed or complained. I love you guys!
