INTRO:
Slept so hard I didn’t hear my first alarm. Good thing I always have a back-up! Got ready and headed out for the beatdown.
WARM-O-RAMA:
We took an extended run to middle school. Heart rate up? Check! We loosened up with out SSH.
10 Weedpickers
12 Imperial Walkers (I don’t know why I bother leading these in cadence, I never get the count right.)
Sun Gods OYO
THE THANG:
We moseyed a little further to the bus lanes for a modified Route 66. The route would use merkins and flutter kicks, on the wet ground (sorry fellas!). We still increased the reps each time but once we hit 18 count we went backwards with a decreasing number of reps.
We finished up the exercise and moved back to where we started for B.O.M.B.S. One partner started the shared count exercises of 50 Burpees, 100 Overhead Claps, 150 Merkins, 200 Big Boy Sit-ups, 250 Squats. The other partner ran down the hill and back up the hill. On the way back up the hill, the wind was fierce. You really could not notice it on the way down but as soon as you turned to come back up, it was right in your face.
We continued working until it was time to head back to the flag (or general gathering area without a flag, ahem…Westside).
CIRCLE OF TRUST:
The COT was short and sweet. We mentioned the Cherokee Challenge and then prayed it out.
Naked-Man Moleskin:
I’m grateful for the guys who came out this morning. I did a 5K on Thursday with my family instead of an F3 event. Not getting my weekly 3 minimum with the PAX made the time in between beatdowns seem like forever. It’s funny how just an hour a few times a week can make such a huge difference in how a week can go. Nothing went badly or out of the ordinary but the fellowship and camaraderie was missed. I’m glad to be back at it this week.
