INTRO:
It being Christmas Eve, YHC wanted to do a Christmas themed workout this morning. 12 days of Christmas has been done, only a lame-o would try to pull that out on Christmas Eve. So YHC wanted to try something completely different and with Santa having to carry something heavy tonight, I thought we should start our day the same way.
WARM-O-RAMA:
We did a loooong lap around the memorial and back to the picnic area we circled up for some IC SSH and windmills before returning to my car to get the goodies. We grabbed the 20# dumbells, 20# Kettle Bell, 40#KB, and some 10# plates before running over to the loop behin the restroom.
THE THANG:
We started by partnering up (we had one group of 3 which afforded the 3 man group opportunity to get the 101 burpees out of the way for the day). Each group had an exercise: KB High pull with the 40# KB, 20# KB Swings, and Push up rows with the pair of dumbbells. Each group did 250 of each exercise combined. As one partner worked the other ran the loop and picked up the count when he returned. The group of 3 had one guy exercise, 1 guy doing as many burpees as possible, and the 3rd ran. Once completed with your exercises pick up a 10# plate and hold it overhead as we wait for the 6 to finish theirs before everyone rotated. Quick audible to 200 reps for the push up/rows those were brutal. Once everyone finished, it was time to come back to the flag.
