INTRO:
After arriving to only Westside and Sgt. Slaughter, I thought I might be at the wrong AO. Â This is the Clinic, right? After a few minutes the rest of the PAX began to show up. Â 5:30 rolled around and it was time to do the Thang.
WARM-O-RAMA:
The Pax started at the Flag and took the long way around to the grass. Â We ran up the amphitheater and back down the other side to circle up in the grass.

THE THANG:
With College Football starting this week, I felt it necessary to use exercises requiring teams/partners. Â The first exercise was 11s. Â With a partner the guys did Bropees and Big Boy Bro-ups with lunges across from sidewalk to sidewalk. Â After about 5 rounds across and back, the burn was real in my quads. Â I decided to modify the lunges to running for everyone’s benefit. Â We got to about the 3/8 split and planked up for the Six in order to have time for the next exercises.
Continuing the team effort, I counted the fellas into four groups of three for some Dora. Â Each team had to complete:
250 Merkins
350 Squats
500 Mary of team’s choice
Sharing the count, the groups split to start the exercises and run up and down the amphitheater then crossing the stage to complete the lap. (Having to add the shared number of exercises proved to be the fourth exercise of the morning.)Â The merkins and squats did not challenge Westside’s team enough. Â When they got to the Mary part they decided 500 flutter kicks would be an easy way to finish out “the suck.”
We moseyed back to the Flag for the COT.
CIRCLE OF TRUST:
No FNGs this morning but we got to hear from Fleetwood as the sixth man. Â Every time I hear him talk I am either encouraged or laughing! It’s good to have guys like him around to keep thing lighter.
As we rounded out the circle with a prayer I told the guys how grateful I was for them being there. Â It is hard to sharpen iron without another piece of iron.
Naked-Man Moleskin:
This was my third Q in just two weeks and it was a great reminder of why F3 is so important. Â F3 has been making a steady impact on my overall well-being. Â I have become a stronger man in so many ways because of the brothers surrounding me at each and every AO. Â Our path as men is not always an easy one to walk. Â We need other people to walk along with us, carry us at times, and look back on to celebrate the progress we have made. Â I hope we all can support each other no matter where we are in our journey.
