INTRO:

After 4 months with F3(First post 8/24), it was time for YHC to push my comfort and pop the Q cherry. Late last night slaving over a playlist while sleep wont come, I took a peek at the forecast. Thunderstorms, fairly cool, and soaked. Not to mention a holiday week, this will be a small quiet VQ. Oh…Homeboy canceled the Barn oh and now Babyface is marketing on Twitter. Crap, nerves getting there now.  Whatever, lets do this thing. Had to check the retention lake in front of Avery, had plans and wasn’t looking for a swim. Where are all these cars coming from?!?!

WARM-O-RAMA:

 Mosey to the front of Avery, circle up, and mumblechatter, because YHC doesn’t know the difference between Imperial Walkers and Hill Billies and a slight counting snafu.  Homeboy either messing up the count or laughing at YHC’s lanky arms and legs flopping around, not sure which, but pushing through. I think the mumblechatters going to die down in a sec.

-Side straddle hops x 20
-Imperial walkers x 18

-Burpees 3 oyo

THE THANG:

First up, grab a spot on the hill. Pax were a bit concerned about a swim. Retention pond looked huge, but was shallow and Pax pushed through. Time for some fun.

-Mosey to the bottom of The Hill for 11’s prisoner squat jumps at the bottom, merkins at the top. 
-Air Chair for the 6
Ah, now the chatter is dying down a touch, mosey to the parking lot for the main course. As a fairly new guy, and starting in terrible shape, I understand the stress of being the 6. I felt like incorporating some 6 appreciation would be good for this group and find a good workout in the meantime.

Mosey to one end of the parking loop
-20 derkins
-20 pickle pounders
-20 carolina dry docks
Sprint to the Parking loop mid point and burpees for the 6. Once the 6 completed their derkins/pounders/Dry Docks, the Pax in the mid point (and any where in between) all sprinted back to the 6 and we all ran together to the opposite end of the loop.

On the other end of the parking loop
-18 prisoner squats
-18 burpees
-18 LBC
Sprint to the Parking loop mid point and burpees for the 6. Once the 6 completed their Burpees/Squats/LBCs, the Pax in the mid point (and any where in between) all sprinted back to the 6 and we all ran together to the opposite end of the loop.

Rinse and repeat each 3 times.

Came up short on time so mary with MaBell American Hammer. Darn, still 5 minutes. Cricket, lets go. Don’t remember the name of the ab exercise, but Pax birthing sounds getting louder. Really, that only took 1 minute? Fine, Bloodhound, We didn’t like our abs anyways. Bloodhound finishes off, on the dot like some choreographed masterpiece with Flutter Kicks.

Announcements: Airborne with the Family tonight at 7pm, big thanks to Bloodhound for being our Cadre for Cherokee Challenge, Lions Den Convergence 1/1 at 7pm. I think there were more, but lets be honest, at this point, I am still shocked I didn’t screw this thing up worse and some things have slipped my mind.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

Men: I am so thankful for finding this group. In just 4 months, I see myself changing in so many ways. I thought 5am was just a myth. I would never have led a workout, hell I was lucky to get off of my office chair other than to move to the couch. I have never led a group in prayer, even in my small group. Its about avoiding eye contact. I feel better physically, emotionally, and spiritually.  Oh, and I have lost a few pounds, but that is so secondary to the benefits of F3.

Have you ever left a workout regretting that you beat the fartsack at 5am? Nope, of course not. It might be hard from time to time, but is worth it 100% of the time. And there are so many more of us out there that see the 530 or hear bootcamp/beatdown and think its not for them. It is exactly for them that F3 exists. Get out there and eh your fellow man, we got to give away this awesome thing we already know about.

But Pax, remember, we are all out here for the other man. Don’t lose site of the FNG/6/DL/or exhausted man that you can grab and lift them up.
