INTRO:

After confirming via Slack yesterday, I made sure Hooch and I would not be the only locos out in the rain, there was a resounding (well for the Flying V anyways) number of guys looking to pound the pavement.

I reminded the guys about safe running and then told them the anticipated path we would embark upon.

WARM-O-RAMA:

No warm-o-rama necessary! Let’s move it!

THE THANG:

We left Canyons and proceeded to loop around the shops and head back through the neighborhood.  We came back towards the light near the Clinic and headed up towards the fire station.  Turning back once we ran out of sidewalk, we ran to the entrance of Woodstock Knoll.  We reversed course going back to downtown and through the neighborhood to where we started.  At the end of the run we covered about 4.8 miles at roughly a 9’10″/mile pace.

CIRCLE OF TRUST:

Circling up to finish out the morning we voiced a couple things.  An events update was provided (Cherokee Challenge, Flag Football and Thanksgiving in the park) as well as a celebration for Hooch’s family! I prayed us out and had to leave but the fellas stuck around for some Joe courtesy of Hooch.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

I love that even on a rainy, cold morning we had 7 guys come out to support each other and exercise.  It may have just been me, but the overall mood this morning was upbeat and positive.  The Gloom wasn’t keeping us down! Way to go guys! Thanks for being there this morning on Beater’s Birthday Beatdown part deux!
