INTRO:

Pulled up and saw that the field was open. Scrapped my whole plan and came up with a new one 10 minutes before start time. 0530 and we moseyed to the field. Time to start the warm-up.

WARM-O-RAMA:

Warm-up was as follows:

15x SSH
10x Weed Pickers
10x Windmills

About to start the exercise when Spock rolls in. Drumstick went to sweep him up. Had the PAX partner up, we had 1 group of 3. Each partner group had a resistance band. Time to go to work. Started things off with a resistance run. 1 PAX will sprint to the other end of the football field. The other PAX will wrap the resistance band around their waist and pull back providing resistance for the runner. Once at the other end the PAX switched and returned to the start. Quads already burning. On to the hard stuff.

THE THANG:

Quarter Pounder w/ Cheese

Some may not consider the resistance bands a coupon. They will soon change their minds. This quarter pounder was a partner routine where each PAX would perform the exercise at the 25, 50, 75, and 100 yard lines. The sprint would be a resistance run like the warm-up (1 PAX down and then the other PAX back). The exercises at the yard lines were as follows:

25x Chest Presses w/ band
50x Squats w/ band
75x Reverse LBC’s w/ band
100x LBC’s w/ band

Core on fire, quads burning, and breathing hard. Still no Merlot. Gotta turn up the heat. Moseyed to the bottom of the bleachers.

11’s

PAX lined up at the bottom of the bleachers. The exercises for today were Derkins and Burpees. The PAX performed 1x Derkin at the bottom of the bleachers, run to the top, and perform 10x Burpees. This routine was repeated until the PAX got to 10x Derkins and 1x Burpee. Trill looked like he was going to hurl every time he made it to the top of the bleachers. Still no Merlot. These PAX are solid.

Gathered the gear and moseyed back to the flag.

CIRCLE OF TRUST:

Name-o-rama, 6th Man (Drumstick), prayers and praises.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

Great way to start the good eats challenge. I know we were all feeling that candy from last night. I really thought today would be the day to get a Merlot, but it seems that we are tougher than I thought. Back to the drawing board for next week. Any PAX that wants to take any Thursday for this quarter step up. Ricky Bobby and Grylls have even snagged a few spots. SYITG
