The 12 Labors
2018 CSAUP  “The Hercules Labors Day Eventâ€
Hercules had 12 labors, so why not have a 12 exercise/portions to the mega beatdown that will take place on LABOR day weekend.
The Thang:
Warm-up
- No time for that nonsense. Â Did Hercules stretch before he slayed the Nemean Lion? Or take all the heads off that Hydra? Â Nope. So right to work we went

Why not finish it with 30 minutes of good old fashion fun. Â We started off with FALYNS (instead of BOMBS)
F – Front Squats with the Sand Babies – 100
A – Angle Grinder – 200 Kodiak count
L – LBCs – 300
Y – Y-Nots – 300 (Dolly with arms stretched to the side)
N – Nose Dive Merkins (Carolina Drydocks with their name changed to fit what I needed – 200
S – Squats – 100
It took a bit more than 30 minutes, but everyone finished.
Finally, for the 12th Labor, we circled up and called Mary with each PAX calling IC 20 reps of their choice.
After we did a quick COT and Name-o-rama it was time for ice. Falyn and her dad Andy showed up just in time to give YHC just enough inspiration to make it through the icy terribleness that awaited. And as Bloodhound continued to find more and more ways to make this worse by adding more and more water, my nerves started to waiver. But once it was time, there was no turning back so I had my official timer (Falyn) ready to start the clock and dropped my self in. a period of wrestling is 2 minutes, this 2 minutes felt sooooo much longer. But alas the time did end and eventually feeling came back to all extremities.
In all, we raised more than $2500 (we pushed past the $2500 mark post ice bath so no YHC is not going back in the ice for 30 more seconds). Â Each and every person that contributed in some way, whether financially, participating, or lending your prayers, Thank you. I cannot say it enough. Â This entire experience has left me so grateful and in awe of what we are able to do with the gifts that God has given us. Thank you all again.
