Intro:

0300, is that rain? Nooooooo, it is not supposed to start until 7AM. MSG and Aquaman rolled into the lot just after 0500 and MSG pulls out a sword! 0520 more rain, Augh!!! wait, that is not rain that is sleet, now that is perfect weather for the Castle Black launch!

Warm-o-Rama:

I normally try to stay away from using SSH in the warm-O-Rama, but I was hopefully of several FNG's and did not want to have to explain the warm ups. (I am a slacker)
SSH x10
Windmills x10
Michael Phelps in cadence just for the MIA Lawdog

The Thang:

Hoping for several FNG's I wanted to make sure as many of the exercises were partnered type so I decided to modify the beatdown I used for my VQ last fall.
9 Stations each with an exercise and most with a deck of cards. If a station had a deck of cards you draw a card to figure out the reps of that exercise you get to enjoy.
1. Merkin Square: Team of four, everyone puts their feet on another Pax back to form a square, no feet on the ground and the weight of your partner bracing off your back made for some upper body building. I haven't performed these since the Corps so I was painfully surprised at the difficulty.
2. Partner Squats: Stand back to back with your partner, link arms and perform a squat together.
3. Burpee's jumping over your partners legs with a clap above your head. (Going for good form here)
3. Mountain Goats: A mountain climber with a double legged goat kick at the end.
4. Flutter Kicks (Nothing fancy here)
5. Bottom of the hill and back. (Yes that is considered a crosswalk) 🙂
6. Broken Wheelbarrow: Like a wheelbarrow only more enjoyable because your partner only holds one leg.
7. Bottom of the hill and back.
8. Duck walk to the previous station and back.
Rinse and repeat, plank for the six, and exactly six minutes of Mary!

COT:

Trickle's M is having seizures and will be spending up to five days at Emory for testing starting tomorrow. She has suffered from seizures for several years, however the docs have never been able to explain why. Pray that the Doc's are able to figure out the why and come up with a successful treatment plan. Prayers for my relationship with my Daughter Dasha as the relationship is still strained. I haven't received a response to a text or phone call since before Christmas.
Don't forget about the Men's breakfast on Friday at Family Traditions in Hickory Flat @ 0600. A surprise speaker will be sharing their testimony.
Plenty of events / races coming up, check the F3 Event page and sign up for one with another Pax. (Or add one you are doing and promote it to draw some Pax)

Naked Man Moleskin:

Another sleep deprived night concerned that I would oversleep and miss the launch. Unlike Westside I would not be pleased to be the recipient of the FUBAR Flag.

In my attempt to get things moving I failed to explain adequately the beatdown which in turn actually resulted in slowing it down anyway. Being the odd man out I got to watch everyone try to figure out the Merkin Square. (Need to keep in mind I need to demonstrate these off routines before setting everyone loose in future)

Thank you to everyone that marketed, answered questions, helped with the launch, traveled to BG to support the launch! It would not have been successful without everyone coming together! Five FNG's great job everyone who EH'ed one of the FNG's!

The end of January marked my six month anniversary of my first post. F3 has made a world of difference in my life physically, spiritually, emotionally and mentally. I have not felt a connection or Brotherhood like this since leaving the Corps. I am blessed to have the opportunity to lead a bunch of HIM's from our community. I love you guys!
