Intro:

4 men logging miles for Resolution Ruck 2019

Warm-o-Rama:

Gut Check rucked about 2 1/4 from the Woodstock Amphitheater to Sam’s Club and back, for some Turmeric and the miles. Hasbro and YHC joined in upon his return, and Lexi 1/2 hour later.

The Thang:

We rucked the Hubbard Road neighborhood behind Copper Coin, then the cut-through trail to Dobbs Road (shortest trail in Woodstock). Proceeded down Molly Lane and Liston and Deen Streets to Haney, where we covered every nook and crannies of the Haney Walk subdivision. Only onlookers were a small herd of deer in the clear cut who probably enjoyed Lexi’s Florida Keys fly-fishing tales. I sure did – sounds awesome! Out to the round about at Main Street, back to The Park at City Center, COT, then down Arnold Mill Road just past the fire station to my favorite use of my own tax money by a long shot – a sign that announces “END OF SIDEWALK”. Since the sidewalk ends, we doubled back to the shovel flag and called it a night at 2 hours even. The mileage achieved by each of the four PAX was approximately 4.5, 5.1, 6.5, and 8.4. Resolution Ruck is quite a challenge, but we got this. And we’re gonna enjoy it.

COT:

They say it’s not F3 if it doesn’t end with a circle of trust. Well, one of the men needed to leave early, so we’re gonna amend the word “end” and allow for a fine COT moment sorta middle-end-ish, at mile marker 5.11 (not the tac store). We prayed for the men of our community who do not know the fellowship and blessedness of F3.

Naked Man Moleskin:

Ransoms, then off to bed: Woodstock is a beautiful town with peaceful neighborhoods and awesome PAX to share time with. I’m thankful to Bloodhound, Babyface, Hasbro, and the other experienced Rucker’s of F3 Cherokee who have introduced us to this great activity. And 20K steps in a day warrants a 4th meal.
