Intro:

From the inception of MorningWood, YHC had a plan at some point to pay a visit to the Kodiak. Why put off until tomorrow what can be done today?

Warm-o-Rama:

Yeah right

The Thang:

Before setting off, YHC expressed an interest in obtaining a new flag. Where oh where could we find one at this time of morning? To the Kodiak we go on a blackops mission to steal the flag. 10 penalty burpees for the group should anyone get caught.

The group set off toward Curtis Rd (not Curtis Rd W). The lead group became confused when circling back around for the 6 and there was no one to be found. Apparently, they chose to listen to the guy that had never posted at MorningWood before. Or they were employing some advanced military tactics to surround the Kodiak. The latter sounds better so we'll go with that. Both groups pressed on from both directions. As the lead group approached the Kodiak it was oddly quiet with two random PAX sitting in the CHS parking lot looking none too concerned that their flag was being lifted. I imagined a scene similar to the attached .gif, but it was much less confrontational as YHC ran into the night flying their flag proudly. It was in the retreat that the rest of the Kodiak group was discovered across the street at CMS on their 6s watching their flag disappear into the gloom.

Heading back to unite the two flags the crew got some quick photo ops to post for later and hoped the other group had enough sense to turn around in time to make it back by 6:15. Arrived back at the flag and the other group was still nowhere to be found. With some time left on the clock we tackled Mt. Gaddis. On our way back up the rest of the group arrived just in time. Well…everyone except Aquaman.

Great job, gentlemen! YHC's official count showed 4.96 miles at an 8:58 pace despite stopping for pictures. T-claps to Manning who was way out in front.

COT:

Thanks to the sky Q for getting us out of bed for a fine morning, pushing each other to get stronger and run further. Praying for those trying to find their way in this crazy world, but thanks for the camaraderie that F3 brings to allow us to cut up and have some fun even as grown men. Praying for those that are ailing and hopes that they can make it back out to the gloom soon.

Naked Man Moleskin:

‘- Did Aquaman really get lost in his own neighborhood and get grounded for it? Dude, you didn't get grounded for showing up late, you got grounded for getting lost in your own neighborhood! Solid job on the 7+ miles though. You must have been really lost!

– We're developing a solid base of consistent HIMs, but also have enjoyed some PAX that come and go. We welcome all whenever you can make it!

– Great having Swisher out, crotch music and all. On second thought, it may have been better if he had of left his crotch music at home. He must have gotten a hold of Legionnaire's mP3 player with that playlist.

As always, it was a pleasure gentlemen. Let's put our work to the test in the F3 5K this weekend. MorningWood needs to represent! Misty out!
