Intro:

First VQ experience

Warm-o-Rama:

YHC lost his notes so doing this from memory. YHC led us around the parking lot twice. Warmed up with some Michael Phelps (OYO), side straddle hops (20-4 count), overhand claps (20-4 count w/ a hold in the out position for ~ 30 seconds), imperial walker (20-4 count), squats (20-4 count w/ a hold in the squat position for ~30 seconds), mountain climbers (20-4 count w/ no recover), merkins (10-4 count w/ a hold in the plank position for ~30 seconds).

The Thang:

Indian Run from the parking lot to the middle school soccer field (.5 – .75 miles?). YHC set some cones out in the field 25 yards apart where the PAX did 7's. Burpees at the start, sprint, big boy site ups at the end, sprint back. Once all PAX recovered, YHC grabbed x2 10lb weights from behind a lamp post and the PAX did the Indian Run from the soccer field to the intersection of the schools, during which the last person in line would pass off the weight to the next available person not holding a weight as they sprinted by. Spread out around the curb at the intersection and did x5 Wheel-of-Merkins (20 total). YHC grabbed an additional x2 10lb weights from behind some bushes so all PAX were outfitted with weights. Indian Run from the intersection back to the parking lot . YHC had cones laid out every 10 yards where the PAX did 10 yard increment sprints – PAX would sprint to the first cone and back, do 10 merkins, sprint to the second cone and back, do 10 merkins, etc. Time ran out before the PAX could finish the activity.

COT:

Prayers for God to move in our lives and take us out of comfort zones and into what he has called us to do. Prayers for the PAX who are out because of injuries.

Naked Man Moleskin:

Beyond thrilled at how YHC's VQ went today. Thanks to all PAX who came out and endured the mayhem, especially after each one having already posted multiple times this week. YHC appreciates all the encouragement the PAX had to offer and the later messages the YHC received on slack. Made it well worth it. Hope to get more PAX out next time.
