Intro:

VQ, so had to step it up! Showed up early to make sure everything was set up on the football field. When YHC pulled in the gate was shut with a yellow chain around it. Thankfully the chain was not locked! Burpees a-plenty and more that came! YHC had the idea to make Thursday your official “leg day.” Plenty of exercises incorporating a mix of primary and secondary leg exercises.

Warm-o-Rama:

Mosey to the Football field and around the track.
16xSSH
10xWindmill
9xWeedpicker
OYO – Michael Phelps
10xMountainManPooper

The Thang:

Started with Uptown 30s (leg version) – 10 cones – 5 across the 30 yd line/5 across the goal line. Partner up. Each cone has a traveling exercise that the PAX will have to do to reach the cone 30 yds away. Fun side note before beginning, each PAX has to do 10 burpees at each cone before starting the exercise (for 100 total).
1. Bear Crawl
2. Broad Jump
3. Crab Walk
4. Walking Lunges
5. Sideways Plank Walk
6. Skier Jumps
7. Gorilla Jumps
8. Side Lunges
9. Sideways Crab Crawl
10. Duck Walk

Mosey to center of the field. Almost calls cadence for LBCs to allow some rest and to get the 6's soaked. Circle up around cone with a Monkey on it, welcome to Howling Monkeys. PAX hold monkey humper down position while each PAX takes turn doing 10 monkey humpers. 2 rounds. Lots of fun – the first round anyway (and howling…maybe cursing at YHC).

Mosey to track. Run as a group with Burpees mixed in every 150 meters (thereabouts), building up from 6, 8, 10, 12, 14. Nice even 150 total count, so YHC chooses to do 16 more. 166 total now.

Few more minutes? Ok. PAX line up on sideline, sprint 50 yds across the field, do 10 merkins, walk back, sprint, 20 merkins, walk back, sprint 30 merkins to finish up. Modified Spartan.

Rains in the middle of the beatdown, thank Sky Q for the refreshing drops from heaven.

Mosey back to flag, PAX choose to walk at near the end. YHC cannot blame them as YHC's legs are not working properly anymore.

COT:

Sixth Man – Tallyman shares about himself and recent service with kids and families in need. Reminds us of the opportunities right here around us to serve others and be a light to those around us.
Manning – Prayers for Walking Wisely weekend he and other HIMs are involved with
Almost – Prayers for the pregnant woman he and his wife have taken in. She has very little and is considering moving in with her mom. Prayers for wisdom.
Cricket – Prayers for Liverpool as he visited the Kodiak and PAX learned he is crossing the first year after his son committed suicide. He began F3 3/15 of last year. Thankful for the brothers that have come around him and those he has encouraged through this tragic journey.

Naked Man Moleskin:

Spoke about Catching other on the Bounce. Bob Goff, in his book Everybody Always, writes about a time he went skydiving with his son. Those that fall and die during skydiving don't die on the first hit. That breaks bones and bounces them up, but the second hit is what kills you as those bones enter organs. YHC spoke about how can we catch others on the bounce before all is lost. Encouraged PAX to reach out to those that have not been around for a while, just to check in. Then to think through how we can continue to look for others on the bounce around the community.

Great morning.
