The men of the TPE made history today running over 50% of the beatdown NOT on the trails. Say it ain’t so!
Number of Pax: 5
Pax Names: Dizzy, Gekko, Yukon Cornelius, Lucky Charms, Westside
Warm-O-Rama: Stretch? What do you mean?
OYO stretching while YHC explained the route. Got it? No? Let's roll!
The Thang: Took a right out of Barnett Park and ran down Bells Ferry to the entrance of Freedom Middle school where we climbed the hill to where the Lion's Den boys like to post up. Ran across the parking lot to the elementary school and headed down Liberty Avenue. Circled back for the 6 as we want to stay together for this one.
Lucky Charms - Confused
Gekko - Underwhelmed
Yukon - Happy
Dizzy - Losing a lung
Westside - Clueless
Swept up the six and ran down Liberty Avenue towards Bells Ferry where we all posted up before crossing the street. Streets clear and we all ran across Bells Ferry down Bridge Mill Avenue and into the belly of the beast that is this neighborhood. Took a right at Woodbridge Lane and up a slight incline 2 streets down where we circled back to pick up the 6 again. Gekko is a stud, ran with Dizzy the whole time.
Took a left at the stop sign down Gold Bridge Crossing which was mostly downhill (you're welcome). Posted up again at the bridge at the bottom of the hill where we pick up the trail. Time to get wet boys!
Lucky Charms - Meh
Gekko - Finally!
Yukon - Don't Talk to me 🙂
Dizzy - Plotting my death
Westside - This way, no wait, not that way, this way
Down the trail that borders Downing Creek we took a left and went further in the woods with a few slight wrong turns. Nothing major. The trails weren't too bad considering, but there were some slick bridges and a few muddy spots. Paralleled the creek for roughly 1.2 miles and then circled back for the 6. Quick 5 second breather and then it was time to head back to the flag. Trails the whole way!
Lucky Charms - See ya suckers!
Gekko - I'm not even sweating
Dizzy - Visibly nauseous but never stopped
Yukon - Taking down the forest as he moves
Westside - Only 1 wrong turn this time!
Made it back to the baseball fields and then circled back one last time to pick up the 6. We all headed back to the flag when Dizzy let out some merlot without stopping and kept on running! Back at the flag Yukon led us in 30 seconds of Mary for the finish!
COT: Name-o-rama, praises and prayers. Congrats Yukon, prayers buddy!
Naked Man Moleskin: Perfect morning and great mumblechatter. Awesome to have Dizzy with us so we can all get stronger together. This was the first time at TPE where I didn't walk once so kudos to you boys helping me get stronger. Passing by the doughnut shop this morning was either genius or really cruel. I still haven't decided which. That will definitely make it into a beatdown in the future. With the holiday season at our doorstep I'm reminded that time with family and friends is the most important thing. I am proud to be able to spend the morning gloom hours with you men and all my F3 brothers as it makes me a better man and father. I appreciate the opportunity to Q and welcome all the crap that, that brings! Until next time, SYITG
