Intro:

Coming up on the 2 year anniversary of F3 in Cherokee County, someone had the idea to get some of the F3 Cherokee originals (aka Redwoods) out to Q at the original AO in Cherokee County. (namely The Kodiak). Today was YHC’s turn, so I pulled some ideas from my VQ and my 2nd Q back in 2017.

Warm-o-Rama:

YHC got to the Kodiak about 8 minutes ahead to ensure the gates at the football field would be open. Cricket's car was already in the parking lot and YHC found him around the track opening as many gates to the bleachers as we could. Back to the flag just in time for the 5:30 start.

Mosey to the football field for some SSH – Weed Pickers – Imperial Walkers – Moon Gods (though we didn't see the moon) – Michael Phelps

The Thang:

Many moons ago YHC's VQ was inspired by a round of golf with Law Dog, Natty Lite, and Crack where we weathered a thunderstorm and lightning all around. We trudged on chasing our Titleist despite the inclement weather. Thus the first act of today's beatdown will be "rolling" thunder….

Partner up:
both partners will broad jump from one sideline to the other. Partner A will then hold the feet of Partner B so that Partner B can wheelbarrow back across the football field. Rinse and repeat so that Partner A has a chance to "roll" the wheelbarrow. (the grumbling started shortly after beginning).
Note – During YHC's VQ, I intended to do this 10 times (so each partner did wheelbarrow 5 times). After the 4th round one of the stronger PAX politely said, "You can audible." Thus YHC audibled to move on as I was completely broken by this routine.
Today, we performed two rounds going across the whole football field and two rounds across half the football field.

Next…. 40's:
From my 2nd Q at The Kodiak we did 40's with Merkins and Monkey Humpers. And since YHC turns 40 this year, it seemed fitting. And just like in my 2nd Q we used the whole field and both metal mountains.
Defensive step-slide from one sideline to the other. Run up the taller metal mountain (home bleachers) and do 30 merkins.
Back down to the field and defensive step-slide back across the field (always facing the Kodiak). Run up the shorter metal mountain (visitor bleachers) on the other side of the field and do 10 Monkey Humpers.
Repeat decreasing merkins by 5 reps and increasing monkey humpers by 5 reps until you reach 10 merkins and 30 monkey humpers. (reps always add to 40.)

A few of the PAX finished early and did some Mary waiting on the 6. YHC was not part of this group and unsure what was completed. YHC did make a second trip up some metal mountains to accompany the 6 after telling the gazelles to run a lap around the track.

With the 6 in tow we completed a burpee indian run. Last guy drops and does one burpee and sprints to the front of the line. made a full lap around the track…. grabbed our gear on the sideline….. then back to the flag.

Just enough time for some Crunchy Frogs in cadence lead by Misty.

COT:

Third 500 Convergence on February 2
Convergence on Friday at Family Tradition for breakfast and to hear Preacher share his story
The Mole Hole on Friday evening at 5:00 PM
Grateful to see Pelosi back in the gloom after a rough few weeks. Still praying for you brother. Glad to have you back.

Naked Man Moleskin:

Great to see Ghandi in the gloom after several months away. This man is strong and determined. Didn't let some back problems deter him from not posting. "Modify as needed" is a great thing.
