Ruck around Racetrac & back in the rain
Number of Pax: 4
Pax Names: AOL, Boomerang, Gotti, Chops
The Thang: YHC loves a raining ruck so planted the flag and clock struck 5:15a without a PAX in sight. Ruck on for YHC contemplating heading out alone but then in comes the Acworth crew on two wheels. Gotti adornes rain jacket w/ hood, AOL is shortsleeve (don't give a rip if it's raining mode), and Boom is double shirted long under short. Some mumblechatter about the forecast, rucks on and we are off.
CHS football field lights are bright and given the rain and cloud cover, the park driveway was relatively bright. YHC inquired with the PAX if they wanted to go CHS route, or Racetrac route (trails route wasn't on the table for some reason). Q gets the call so we are Racetrac bound.
Gotti and YHC did a good bit of chatting regarding politics. Father & Son duo were trailing... not sure what they were discussing. Political discussions lead to losing track of pace so separation was a constant occurrence unfortunately. Some switching of 2x2 partners occurred throughout to attempt to stay together.
PAX rucked toward Boling entrance, right onto Marietta Hwy sidewalk, hold up on the Etowah River bridge for the 6 and observe looking down river how American Indians would have canoed that stretch in < 1800s. Keep rucking... turn right up into bakery lot, then ont into Williamson Bros lot, and finally up into Canton Corners. YHC is huffing and puffing from decent pace up the incline. YHC calls for some PT on the sidewalk of Harbor Freight. Reps at 10 - 25 on these:
IC Overhead Ruck Press
IC Ruck Deadlift
IC Chin Raises
IC Flutter Kicks
Rucks back on, loop around Racetrac, back across lots, down to sidewalks. Vehicles haul booty on that stretch of Marietta Hwy and YHC often worries about the safety of the PAX. Prayers for vehicles to stay in their lanes. Ruck back into Boling, dodge incoming CHS athletes cars arriving, and finally back to the vehicles.
COT: Announcement of Ruck events, thanks & prayers for group of PAX that shows up, and fitness to participate.
Naked Man Moleskin: YHC is seriously grateful when the Acworth crew arrives. They are the soul of the Riveria where consistency is needed. Define FUN/Challenge for a moderate ruck workout. That's the next objective.
