Round and round and round we go
Number of Pax: 6
Pax Names: Mandals, 8-Bit, GeekSquad, Z-93, Chops, Gekko
Warm-O-Rama: Warm up consisted of us standing in a circle not sure if Lucky was going to make it. 5 minutes in decided it was time to run in which case YHC took lead. Chops had his own plans and implemented Operation Pineapple Ruck back to Bridgemill via east side of Fields Landing.
The Thang: Began with mosey into unknown trails with disclaimer that this was last call for port-a-potty (GeekSquad continues to have wipes up his sleeve like a magician). Trail was wider and smoother than normal, at first. Coast line off to our left only confirms that we have to implement some beach workouts in the future. Rolling hills on new trail along with a temporary questioning of which way to go kept us on our toes the whole time. About 10-15 min into the trail we saw a faint light that we were running towards only to realize that we had somehow doubled back to the beginning. Easy fix, we hit the east side of the trail and ran the 5k route and out to the original Pineapple trail. Quick turnaround with 8-Bit leading us out. 8-Bit decided to lead us out in a sprint, downhill through the mud and ditches (that Clydesdale went into gazelle mode). Coming back out onto the road it quickly became a foot race between Mandals and GeekSquad (not sure who made it back first, too fast for me).
COT: Consisted of catching up on stories from GroRuck and other various F3 escapades.
Naked Man Moleskin: Good wholesome chatter throughout with minimal falls. Believe that Mandals took a small tumble and 8-Bit went sliding through the mud for a second (no groin pull) only to recover just as quick. There is talk of dragging some equipment to this spot for a BD during/after the run. Lots of potential in this area given the trails and water nearby. Also a great loop to ruck going from Barnett Park to Fields Landing and back if Ruckers need a new route (just ask Chops). Monthly 5k is here on September 15th.
