It’s not 55 Days in Peking, but hey, we did 55 of everything!
Number of Pax: 8
Pax Names: Dory, Cricket, Chitwood, Lebowski, Voodo, Legionnaire, TieDye, Miyagi
Warm-O-Rama: After a little mosey to the Stones 'Start Me Up', the PAX flawlessly executed 20 SSH, 10 Imperial Walkers, 10 Weedpickers and 10 Windmills.
The Thang: A wee mosey over to the front of the school where we reviewed the course of action for the day: Three rounds of exercises, with an outbound run to the end of the parking lot and a backward run on the return in between. YHC had three different counts per round, with no true pattern. The PAX were challenged to find a common attribute, and props to Chitwood for figuring out that each exercise had 55 reps. Brains and rugged good looks!
The exercises and counts for each round were:
- LBCs 17, 18, 20
- Copperhead Squats 17, 20, 18
- Burpees 20, 18, 17
- American Hammers 18, 17, 20
- Curtsies 17, 18, 20
- Inchworms 20, 15, 20
For those 'unusual' PAX (Cricket, Legionnaire), there was an extra round available as well as a 55 count 'Cut a Flip' for Merkins and Big Boy Situps.
COT: Dory and Cricket reminded us of upcoming events (Love not Lost on the 16thand the LoveLikeReed race at Etowah HS on the 17th).
Prayers continuing for Legionnaire's sister and for VooDo's nephew Sean (sp?) who is dealing with some medical issues and is home from college for a while.
Naked Man Moleskin: The significance of 55 in today's beatdown is that there are 55 days left in 2019. YHC challenged the PAX to make sure we are doing all we can to reach our goals, whether they be personal, family, professional or community. As a powerful force in our communities, we should all be doing whatever we can to model the life our Father wants for us and constantly improve ourselves and those around us. YHC thanks the PAX there today for their effort and inspiration. We are all blessed!
