Seeing that no one was stepping up to man the Q for this morning’s beatdown, Hombre gladly man upped at an opportunity to lead…… Wanted to bring out the mini logs for their second debut and mix them in with the running and some pull ups without loosing any souls out in the woods….
Number of Pax: 6
Pax Names: Gandhi, Odd Job, Garfield, Title Max, Cricket and Hombre (no dogs)
Number of FNGs: -0-
Warm-O-Rama: Noting the white pick up just pulling in, I knew it was time to start up the mosey which was a quick turn around the gravel road up front and back to the car to pick up the mini logs who were eager to come out and play. Glad there were no doglets around to trip us up, we went down to Area A and dropped the logs explaining that here we would perform 5 pull ups, 15 shoulder presses with logs and 20 squats with logs. But first we had to get to Area B to start things off.
In any event, we started as many rounds as possible starting at Area B with 5 pull ups, 10 merkins, 20 lunges and then bushwhacked to the yellow trail back up to Area A for the prescribed exercises, then through the back trail back to Area B.
The Thang: Prior to the beginning of the mornings beatdown, I flagged a coursed 1/2 mile course with red danger tape that would loop us around to each of the pull up bar areas. This served two purposes 1) to rid the trails of all spider webs for the boys 2) would ensure more familiarity with the location, how to get there, and the proximity of all trails.
COT: - for our jobs that God would lead us all in our work
- for the convergence circling back with Kotters and new brothers to get them out
- Garfield’s dirty money....
Naked Man Moleskin: Those who didn’t make it out this morning missed out on:
- good Army coffee
- cats pooping in the woods
- crickets missing turn offs
- steady Gandhi
- fast paced Gillam
- frogs croaking in the pond
The Witch misses you! Come back out and take her hand thru the woods......
