With fair warning the night before to not get caught on the wrong side, the MorningWood PAX set off to show the Kodiak some love
Number of Pax: 6
Pax Names: Tebow, Yogi, Haggis, Red Hat, Harp, Misty
The Thang: YHC handed out hidden message to be shared while explaining the plan for the morning. They couldn't open or read the paper, they were just instructed to find a Kodiak HIM, go in for a bro-hug, tell them an exercise and hand them the paper to read. I encouraged them to look for a Kodiak regular and to avoid the MorningWood defectors in order to atone for previous transgressions that may or may not have occurred in the past. With that we took off up Gaddis, hung a right on Grandmar, worked our way around to Curtis onto Owens Store, sticking together to ensure we didn't lose anyone. As we descended upon the Kodiak PAX there were shouts and warnings until they let their guard down enough to allow us to apologize and hug it out. It was shortly after that the MW group realized that they were on the wrong side when they gave out their exercise assignment, which I can only assume they were making tough thinking the Kodiak PAX would perform them. Instead the Kodiak attendees read off the paper that they could specify the number of reps that the MW'ers would have to perform of the named exercise. Despite my best efforts to warn them to stay away from defectors, Haggis went to Manning and paid the price in the form of 25 burpees. Hombre called for a tunnel of love and the love fest was in full swing, except for the fact that we were on asphalt and tunnel of love was never intended to be done on asphalt. After a relocation the tunnel was done and we had to high tail it back to the flag, sticking together as a group until we were done. I think I heard someone say it was 4.6 miles.
COT: Prayers for Tebow's son in bootcamp and for the families and friends of the high schooler(s) that were lost too soon.
Naked Man Moleskin: Those Kodiak boys are some trusting individuals. After all the past shenanigans I thought convincing them to let us get close enough for a hug would have been more challenging. hahaha, they are so naive! we'll get them good next time!. Wait, did I just type that out loud? *delete the previous sentence before submitting*
T-claps to those first few PAX that actually went through the tunnel of love on the asphalt
Great job today, men, and as always it was a pleasure!
