Hope the PAX doesn’t leave this YHC in the dust.

Dates: 2019-10-16

Where: pineapple_express

QIC: Gekko

Number of Pax: 4

Pax Names: Oddjob, Geek Squad, Lucky Charms, Gekko

Warm-O-Rama: No warm up necessary. These PAX were ready to run.

The Thang: Today was initially suppose to be a day of mosey and some core work, but after hitting the trail, it just felt good to run. Mosey to the bridge with an initial 50 LBCs to warm up the core on the sidewalk. As an initial car passed close to the PAX, YHC realized that this is probably not a good idea for the return home. Continued mosey along the trail, PAX ran into both a rabbit and an owl that gave up their position as we moved through. At this point the plan became getting as far through TPE as possible. Continued mosey with minimal chatter. Alarm went off on YHCs to turn around, but wanted to hit the camp site on the other side. Circled up PAX for a quick view and 10 count and headed back. Minimal chatter, but maximum mosey getting back to the park. Got there with 1 minute to spar so some more LBCs until time.

COT: Name-o-rama and discussion about upcoming Freedom Middle School Color Fun Run and the different options for Black Ops on Saturday and Sunday.

Naked Man Moleskin: This is always a great place to run on Wednesday. YHC is currently sidelined, but didn't want to disappoint PAX with slow Q so tried to keep a nice pace. Distance was 3.42, 3.50, 3.90 and 4.11 miles depending on device, but 5k completed no less. First time running on TPE while raining, the roots get very slick. Thanks to Lucky Charms for letting YHC know that he bought the wrong headlamp on Amazon, Geek Squad for not disappointing and "unloading" with less than a mile from finish (he was flying coming out of the woods like he lost a few pounds) and Oddjob for letting me know that the initial pace was not a DL'd pace. Always enjoy this group of regulars (pun intended).
