With many on board for races this weekend, the plan was to take it easy at the Happy Jack this morning, in all honesty. But there is something in the air always at THJ that just won’t let the PAX slow down, and 4.5 miles later . . .
Number of Pax: 4
Pax Names: C4, Legionnaire, Dandy, Earhart
Warm-O-Rama: Mosey to the track, quick warm-up, cotton pickers and imperial walkers.
The Thang: Really nothing more than a Dirty McDeuce, but along the track at Veterans and a stop at each post. We started off with 10 burpees just to get warm, and then from there it consisted of Copperhead squats, Mercans, LBCs, Lunges, Carolina DryDocks, BBSU, Flutterkicks, T-bone Mercans, Switchback lunges, more T-bone Mercans, some crabbies, and naturally a set of Happy Jacks. This PAX hustled, however, and we completed three full loops around the park, comprising 4.5 miles of effort at a solid pace with exercises. Dandy pushed us all; either that, or each Happy Jacker is getting stronger and faster. No doubt a little bit of both.
COT: Continued prayers for Legionnaire's sister, who goes under the knife later this month, for Kiffin's recovery, and for all the F3 brothers participating in races this weekend, that we enjoy the adventure and return home safely.
Naked Man Moleskin: Cody and Pana held up well, with Cody naturally taking a dip in his pond for all to enjoy the fragrance of pond water.
