With another warm September morning, YHC was looking forward to putting the IPC to bed and getting back to the madness of THL. YHC arrived early and saw a few cars parked. Misty getting in some extra laps, and a Headlamp moving fast on the walking path. At this point, more and more PAX rolled in. At this point YHC turned to Earhart and asked when the last time we had double-digits on a Monday? No worries! YHC has something fun planned!
QIC: Rest Stop
Number of Pax: 10
Pax Names: Yogi, Microsoft (FNG), Babyface, Suckles, Earhart, Crawdaddy, Danica, Ann Arbor, Misty and Rest Stop
Number of FNGs: 1
FNG Names: Microsoft
Warm-O-Rama: We did a long mosey up to the Skate Park/Pickle Ball Courts parking lot. We circled up in the parking lot and did the following:
Good Mornings – 11 IC
Weed Pickers – 10 IC
Imperial Walkers – 10 IC
The Thang: We started with an Ascending Curb Crawl. The PAX started on one curb in the parking lot and did a Crawl Bear (backwards bear crawl) to the opposite curb, where all PAX did 1 Derkin (feet on the curb). We then Bear Crawled back to the curb where we began and did 2 Derkins….Crawl Bear back to the opposite curb and did 3 Derkins. The PAX did this all the way to #10. This was terrible and looked a lot easier on Paper.
After a short recovery, we mosey to the field near the skate park. Next up...Pickle Ball Suicides. The markers were the 1st fence, parking lot divider, 2nd fence, and lastly the Pickle Ball court. The PAX could not go around (or under) the fence, but had to go over. The exercises at each marker we are follows:
Prisoner’s Squat – 10/20/30/40
Shoulder Taps – 20/40/60/80 (Rubicon Count)
Burpees – 5/10/15/20
After each exercise, the PAX that finished early did SSHs or Flutter Kicks. After a 10 count, the PAX started the next exercise together and finished when the Six was in. Due to time, we did not make it to the Burpees, which was a good thing. YHC would have had a rebellion on his hands. Danica said something about pulling YHC over with a taillight out or having some contraband in my truck is we kept going! We did the long mosey back to the playground and finished with 5 minutes of Mary!
Yogi led the PAX in Flutter Kicks, Earhart in Dying Cockroaches, Danica in LBCs, Ann Arbor in American Hammers, and Suckles with planks to take us to 6:15am! All done!
COT: Babyface discussed the upcoming convergence with 2.0’s, FIA & families on 10/19. Also, the upcoming Spartan this weekend and the Bear. See Slack for more info. Ann Arbor mentioned the upcoming Police in the Park 5k at Etowah Park on 10/5. Prayers from Earhart as his M is due this Thursday with their 1st 2.0! We also prayed for those unspoken request.
Naked Man Moleskin: It was a pleasure to lead this morning and get past the IPC. The numbers were great and nice to have Babyface & Misty add to the mumble chatter. Good to have some of OGs from F3 Cherokee in attendance. Also, good to see Danica. The last time YHC saw Danica, YHC was carrying him as a casualty on the last mile of Grow Ruck. Good times! Nice to have the regulars in Yogi, Earhart, and Ann Arbor as well. Ann Arbor, you are regular now. Good work by all of you this morning. One day YHC will one day be able to keep up with y’all. Nice to have Crawdaddy and Microsoft join as well! Microsoft was our FNG, is a Woodstock police officer, former college Baseball player, and really pushed it this morning. Someone is going to have to help me remember how this F3 name came about. Something about installing Windows on a computer once. I was in deep thought on another question to ask, but the PAX all settled in on Microsoft. Welcome to the madness, Microsoft. Awesome job the morning!
Finally, excited for Earhart! Seems like it was only a few weeks ago that he was sharing the news with us. You are going to be a great Dad and will have many HIMs to get advice from, especially from Cricket. Enjoy every moment and before you know it, you will be attending all the 2.0 workouts. Right now, get some sleep! You will miss that more than anything for the next 2 months
