The BackBlast:

Intro:

When Cricket told YHC about his idea for the Wednesday Q’s at the Kodiak for the first quarter, I was pretty excited. It’s a great idea to give some of the original guys a chance to get back to where it all began, and with that in mind, I wanted today to be a look back at my 1st Kodiak Q. It was on March 4th, 2017, a Saturday, and it was split with Bloodhound which means that it was only 30 minutes, meaning I had to add a little extra today, but it was pretty similar to that day in March (side note: it was the Kodiaks 3rd day of existence & we had an FNG that day, the first person to guess who it was and tag me with the answer on Slack wins a prize, excluding the FNG).

Warm-o-Rama:

After the Q source meeting yesterday it was discussed that we may need to increase how much warming up we do to get the blood flowing and muscles warm so with that in mind: Looooooooong mosey around the parking lot with some karaoke, side shuffle, butt kicks, & backward runs and alll the way to the small parking lot behind the school before we circled up for IC Imperial walkers, Windmills, & Copper Head Squats (NO SSH).

The Thang:

Now sufficiently warm we turned to the hill for 11's with LBC's at the bottom & star jumps at the top. Once we knocked that out we moseyed back to the back of the main parking lot & partnered up for BLIMPS. As 1 partner exercised, the other ran to the next set of parking spaces. Each time a partner returned they leapfrogged parking spots until we made it all the way across the parking lot. After everyone finished up there BLIMPS we then mosyed over to the school for around of Balls to the walls, when you drop, 15 Donkey Kicks, except for the last man standing (Bloodhound) who won the right to not donkey kick. We still had some time for fun so we did around of 1 leg wall sits with 1 man running out to do 3 burpees then back to the wall. Each time a PAX came back we switched legs (with some traditional wall sits thrown in because holy hell that got hard quick).
Mosey back to the flag with a few minutes left for some randomly selected Mary- Babyface: American hammers, Quagmire: LBCs, Floppy: Crunchy Frogs, Preacher: Merkins

COT:

Naked Man Moleskin:

That was a great morning getting back to the basics. I enjoyed the opportunity to lead today where it all started so thank you to the men who were in the gloom with me this morning, I hope everyone else enjoyed it as well.
TCLAPS to Gecko (Bloodhounds 2.1) who came out to join us for the pre-ruck this morning. There were a total of 5 of us, good times in the gloom, no Aquaman, it's not the same as having a baby.
There is something happening at The Moles house (THE MOLE HOLE) this Friday at 5 pm, someone please go play with the Mole
