THE PAX: Banjo, Homeboy, Harp, Papa John, & Chitwood
Total # of PAX: 6
Today was the start of our new workout B0.0MTOWN at Veterans Park. The idea was to get in a different style of workout for some, and to get some PAX out that did not want to take part in the heavy running of an hour bootcamp. So with all that in mind, let the fun begin.
Step one – Go get a heavy ass rock and get to the nearby field.
Step two – Get to lifting that rock
To accomplish said step 2 we:
Broke up into Partners – the best way to have a big B0.0M is with some BOMBS! Since YHC did standard BOMBS on Wednesday, I decided to change it up a bit with Stink BOMBS
B.O.M.B.S. + use a spoke layout.
Pax #1 starts the B.O.M.B.S. reps at the first cone while pax #2 goes to the Center Rock to do exercise chosen by the Q (for example 50 curls or 50 LBC’s).
Pax #2 then swaps with Pax #1. Moving onto the next exercise after all PAX completed that BOMBS exercise. YHC was a little aggressive with the exercise count initially, but we audibled down to:
100 Burpees ; Center Exercise – 50 Curls
150 Over Head Presses (w/ Rock) ; Center Exercise – 25 Skull Crushers
200 Merkins ; Center Exercise – 50 Dollies w/ Rock over head
250 Big Boy Sit-ups ; Center Exercise – 50 Chest Press
300 Squats ; Center Exercise – 25 Front Raises
Unfortunate we ran short on time so we had to redeposit the rocks about midway through the squats. But we did a short mosey back to the flag to circle up
CIRCLE OF TRUST:
Prayers for the Wilkie family
Prayers for Papa Johns brother and his family
Although we did a limited amount of running today, I don’t think any of the other 5 men that joined me today felt cheated out of a workout. That was only YHC’s 2nd 0.0 workout and it was definitely a challenge. If you haven’t experienced one, give it a shot, you may like the change of pace.
Great work to the men that came out today, truly impressed by every man’s commitment to making not just themselves, but everyone around them better.
